• Because ESPN has given him more assignments that expected (including the College World Series), Eduardo Perez has worked fewer Marlins games than the team anticipated – at least six fewer to date. That’s unfortunate, because Perez has been the best of the Marlins’ four new TV analysts.

 

That also means Fox has used Preston Wilson more than it expected.  Al Leiter, working a small package of games, is assigned to the Marlins-Cubs four-game series this weekend.

Conine is pretty good. I actually like Leiter if he were actually our everyday announcer instead of just filling in like he does.

 

Perez is an idiot. I prefer Preston over him honestly.

Conine is abit awkward,a cool guy though. I like the energy Preston gives to the game , he's my fav. Plus I like some of his comedy attributes.

i can't stand Niner at all, dude shows no enthusiasm, sounds monotone and will just sit there and not speak until Rich prods him along sometimes - he's basically the anti-Preston but at the far end of the spectrum.  I like somewhere in between the two and Eduardo works for me.  I've tuned into other teams feeds when Leiter and Conine have been calling games (Leiter just comes across as an arrogant asshole to me).

I usually don't down vote people for giving opinions but you deserved it.

 

 

The best of the four is leiter. The problem is that because he doesn't do that many of our games he isn't really up to date on the day to day activities of the Marlins. 

 

 

Best one is Perez followed by leiter.

Still can't understand why some people think Perez is "good" when his commentary is Preston-lite and his voice sounds like a frog crawled down his throat, took a shit, and then died.

 

 

I felt as if the substance of what he was saying was better than Preston earlier in the season, but he's definitely gotten worse or I had preston hate blinders on. Either way, he's not good either. 

 

I think he's very similar to Preston honestly. Very early on I thought he wasn't so bad but had annoying voice. As the voice started to grate on me, I then noticed that the commentary was really shitty too.

 

 

I am holding out hope that Fox/Marlins sees this did NOT work and offers Tommy his job back for 2017.

 

Now I know, some may say T-Hut won't take it cause he has pride. But that's EASY to explain. All he has to say is he heard from many fans that wanted him back and he's coming back for them.

 

 

If FS Florida is dumb enough to fire the immensely popular Tommy Hutton, then they are dumb enough to not see that the trio of Wilson, Perez, and Leiter has been a disaster.

 

This has been the first season in the new ballpark that is actually exciting, but somehow the shitty color commentary is reducing my enjoyment of it.

 

I wish Tommy were in the booth as Ichiro pursues 3000 hits.

Can anything be done to reach out to FS Florida and bring back Tommy Hutton? I would've loved to hear Tommy this season as we are actually playing well, and to hear his commentary on the development of Ozuna, Yelich, JT, and most of all, the struggles of Stanton.
