July 7, 20169 yr Now, I'm going say I know where the OP is coming from. The theory is, you have two young very talented outfielders in Ozuna and Yelich, so you keep them as part of your core. So then you trade Stanton for a boatload of prospects and build your team around the young talent. But.... The players you trade Stanton for will not in all likely hood be another Stanton, or brings what he does to the table. Stanton and those type of players in this game, is what this is all about besides winning championships. That's why we're here, you hope to have a player like that playing the sport at all in you lifetime, much less having him on your team. You. Don't. Trade. Those. Guys. And all that is in addition to setting aside the elephant in the room, that this is the franchise that traded away Miguel Cabrera.

Jong is right for the most part as usual. check out his in the zone/outside the zone swing %s compared to his career avgs. They're identical. It's the kind of contact that has really changed from last year.

July 7, 20169 yr unfortunately the best course of action for the marlins is trade ozuna for a legit SP2 (he's def worth it now) of the danny salazar caliber and sign one of the big name OF free agents to take his place. The SP FA market is probably the worst ever and this is really the only way they'll be able to improve
