Posted August 28, 20168 yr They should be embarrassed. Its one thing when a guy pitches well and another when some rookie mows an entire team down on under 100 pitches. What an opportunity to gain ground again and they get DOMINATED BY Clayton Richard and Luis Perdomo.
August 28, 20168 yr The Padres are laughing at us. Team is not consistent enough to make a push. Every year.
August 28, 20168 yr Utterly shambolic. Only 2 fly ball outs. Completely dominated by a pitcher with an ERA over 6 coming in.
August 28, 20168 yr Author The Padres are laughing at us. Team is not consistent enough to make a push. Ive been talking about the lack of consistency for a while now. Like I said, big wins and big series mean nothing to this team. They usually follow them up with lifeless games and series losses.
August 28, 20168 yr Kinda wish the Cardinals would start winning at this point so we could end the tease.
August 28, 20168 yr No. They shouldn't be "embarrassed." They are missing their two power hitters and two starters and have still managed to fight and stay in the playoff race against all odds. It's no shit that they are not "consistent enough to make a push" in their current state. The only people who should be embarrassed are the so-called "fans" who only show up in game threads when the team is losing. If I didn't think downvoting were 100 percent lame, I'd downvote half the people in this thread.
August 28, 20168 yr Kinda wish the Cardinals would start winning at this point so we could end the tease. If the Mets win at least 2 games in the coming series it's probably close to being over.

The lack of making in game adjustments is bad enough, but the fact that a supposed playoff team loses 2 of 3 to the team they mortgaged their future regardless of injuries is embarrassing

When you can't even hit a home run in a series and it takes 3-4 hits to score a run most of the time and cant buy a stolen base, thats embarrassing.
August 28, 20168 yr Yes they absolutely should be embarrassed. The lack of making in game adjustments is bad enough, but the fact that a supposed playoff team loses 2 of 3 to the team they mortgaged their future regardless of injuries is embarrassing News flash: the current team that the Marlins are fielding is not a "supposed playoff team." If this current Marlins team were here all season, they'd be 15-20 games out by now.
August 28, 20168 yr Author What a month man. Three 1-0 losses to add to the blown saves against the Cubs and Giants. As expected, those games are looming large now.

So Yelich and Ozuna hitting bad JUST due to Stanton and Bour not in the lineup !?
August 28, 20168 yr So Yelich and Ozuna hitting bad JUST due to Stanton and Bour not in the lineup !? It must really suck to have such linear thinking.
August 28, 20168 yr I can't believe I'm gonna subject myself to watching this team vs the Mets on my birthday. At least I'll be drinking
August 28, 20168 yr A bone crushing series loss for sure but with the current lineup it's not surprising. If the Mets sweep the Marlins squall will be an internet GOD.

Should've gotten Gomez. Shouldve traded for Hellickson instead of Cashner. Should've called up Scruggs about a week earlier. All of those things combined with the lack of adjustments at the plate recently have nothing to do with injuries
August 28, 20168 yr We pitched well to win both games. Offense is horrible right now. 5 double plays today? Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
August 28, 20168 yr Author Even with Stanton out, hitters like Gordon, Yelich, Ozuna, Realmuto, Ichiro, Hechavarria.... They should be able to get the job done.
