If they sign Jansen, I don't think they would trade Ramos but had they kept Capps then maybe that changes things.

 

Jansen probably ends up getting something close to the 5 year / $85 million projections they have.

The thing is, while I'd welcome Jansen, beefing up the bullpen doesn't sound like enough to make this team a true contender. Yes I get the idea of super bullpen and it would alleviate some of the problems of the rotation but it wouldn't nearly be enough. There's still too big of a gap in the rotation for it to be corrected by just having a super bullpen.
