taiwanmarlin was making it sound like Loria was asking prospective buyers if he should offer big contracts to Chapman and or Jansen. That's insane. Not to mention that it's not like any prospective buyers have actually started the process of buying the team. That'd be like planning to sell your house in the future and then asking a random person at the grocery store what color you should paint your living room.

Makes sense but only if an agreement has been made and ownership transfer is pending on legal and financial. Terms of the agreement will probably have a closing date similar to buying a house. Any decisions during this time will need to be approved by the new owner. They won't just let the seller do whatever.

 

Right now I'd say no way is a deal that close.

Yes but I'm assuming no prospective buyer has been chosen so in that case there's no way Loria is running his decisions by anyone outside the organization.
