Outfielder Christian Yelich is "unhappy'' over the Miami Marlins' player exodus this offseason, sources told ESPN, but he wants to give the team's front office a chance to explain its rebuilding plan before he assesses his future with the franchise.

Well we also don't know the entire truth about Realmuto either. What I've heard today is that Realmuto doesn't want to be the last man standing... that doesn't mean he's been unprofessional and that doesn't mean he'll become unprofessional if he remains either. 

 

 

It's still kind of dumb in my opinion, although even the new ownership has kind of been a total circus act so far like Loria was. Yelich doesn't have a contract that's potentially franchise crushing like Stanton's was. He doesn't have a NTC or opt out. He's a great player but he didn't just have an MVP caliber season. He doesn't have 10 years remaining on his deal.

Padres could give us so much talent for Yelich.  I go back and forth on trading him.  On the one hand he can net us a shit ton of quality prospects, but on the other hand he is an all star level talent under team control for 5 years cheap.  Id be much more OK with Realmuto being the one dealt.

Why do they have to even talk? And didn't they already meet out of courtesy weeks ago? I love Yelich and I wanna punch Mike Hill in his Harvard mouth but I think the Marlins are already over doing it with catering to Yelich and Realmuto as well.
