Realmuto traded to Phillies

Featured Replies

can we just give Sixto his TJ surgery now and get it over with?

It’s funny cause I’ve been thinking the same thing since the moment we acquired him.

If he were to go in for TJS this month he would be primed for when we really need him.  However, they don’t do pre-emptive TJS as far as I know and from everything I’ve read, he doesn’t have even a partial tear (which concerns me).

It sounds weird but the unknowns of what is causing his elbow discomfort worries me more than him being told he needs TJS.

I don't understand this logic.  What's worse than TJS in an elbow?  That's the worst case scenario.  I would be concerned if it was shoulder pain because that's much more difficult to diagnose and overcome.

It says more about our shitty system than it says about his talent, but still that's nice to see.

I really liked what I saw in Stewart's stats from last season, combined with the mention that he gets a ton of ground balls.

He and Sixto are, what, two years out?

I read a health term -it escapes me at the moment- that was mentioned as a remote possibility for Sixto’s right elbow.

Point being, if your elbow is sore even after you rest it and MRI’s are clear, that’s an issue.  TJS can resolve a torn ligament.  How do you resolve elbow soreness when the cause of the soreness is unknown?

I think Sixto could debut at some point in 2020, he's starting this season in AA.

Stewart is likely a year behind him.

Shocking that Joe is a moron.

Money can only be carried over if a signing is voided for reasons out of the teams control.

The only way they are signing Sanchez is if he were to take less money to come to Miami.

The most the Marlins could have left would be $3,594,450 provided they have acquired the max they can.  The Orioles have nearly 6 mil they could give Sanchez.

The next rated SS prospect got a 3.4 mil bonus.

What they are planning on doing with the rest of this money is beyond me, and I'm not even sure how much they have left.  Reports were after signing the Mesa brothers is that they were close to empty.

Joe reported that the Marlins had 4.3 mil before their spree to acquire money for the Mesa brothers.  They spent 6.5 mil on them two.

My guess is that this 250k they acquired is more for a lesser prospect or two they would like to still sign.  Or else they are morons.

Here is the only exhaustive set of rules for the International Free Agency that I have found.

Hill was probably told they'd also receive 250k in cash and was so excited he didn't pay attention to how that money was to be applied to the deal.

Now I realized what happened on us.
