Realmuto traded to Phillies

Wondering why Astros are so quick to trade tucker thoo

I wouldn't say they are quick, the Marlins have been trying to get him for some time now and Houston has been reluctant. It'd be more of a case of them finally giving in if they do.

It's funny that we only seem to want outfielders.

I just realized Heyman did say the Marlins "want outfielders." That's very different than saying they want "the possible talent" and they just happen to be outfielders. So yes you're absolutely right that it's weird if true.

Bro what is your problem with Brinson? Do you wanna take this outside?

Well, if I had the choice of inside or outside with this weather, I'd choose outside.

How could Heyman makes this mistake ? everybody knows what we need most was a non-outfielder power LHH.

Of course we want OFers. I mean, could you imagine what a line up we could build with a stacked OF? Put a couple MVPs out there and mix in another guy who could put up AS caliber #s and we are set. Just get a pitcher or two and we are playoff bound.

See ya in 2026

I'm totally sold on getting Tucker.  Please do it.

Isn't he, realistically, the best possible player we can get?

I honestly would be ok with JT for Tucker straight up. Tucker has a chance to be better than Yelly

Yeah, we always have lots of great outfielders, didn't we ?

People that say this kind of stuff come off as dumb. No offense but it is dumb to act like you can project anything that far out. With free agency and an improved system, it could easily happen before that. Many of the names on the 25-man roster today may not be there in a year or two so speaking of 8 years from now is pretty dumb.

People forget the estimated payrolls Jeter and company passed around to investors. It showed numbers of over 100mil in 2020 and 2021. Based on the current roster and minor leaguers who could come up, that would represent a significant amount of money being spent in free agency in the upcoming years.

Nope, this is the exact roster we're going to have in 2026, but with even lower payroll somehow.

It was a joke.

Source - see comment above where I said I’d take Tucker for JT straight up

I believe most people here don't think only Tucker would be enough.

FWIW, tucker is my favorite prospect in all of baseball so maybe I’m higher on him than most. Guy has a legitimate chance to be Yelly 2.0. Possibly even slightly better. I know that sounds crazy coming off the year Yelich just had, but the kid can flat out hit and is a better base stealer than Yelly.

Point still stands, just not for you then. There really are people who think that way, See I said no offense, so I wasn't calling you dumb anyway.
