April 29, 20197 yr C'mon man, he pitched better recently. He has, but not hard to pitch better than he was pitching. He still isn't anywhere near useful to this team. He's wasting a roster spot. Are you him? I can't imagine anyone else defending him this much.

Yea sometimes it feels like our bullpen is really good, other times it's a train wreck... so it definitely feels like shuffling some things around and making better decisions would lead to a better bullpen... and this is one of the frustrating things about Mattingly because you'd think he'd be the one to make these calls.

Mattingly seems dead set on everyone has their role, that's when I use them, not let's use them when they'd do best.

If we could grab a top 75-100 prospect for him with some other intriguing bats, sign me up. You’re still looking at a 2020/2021 staff of - 1. Sixto 2. Pablo 3. Sandy 4. Gallen 5. Richards Depth - Yamamoto, Neidert, Garrett, Rogers, Cabrera. And that’s with Guzman and Holloway getting moved to the pen

But I also like our projected lineup better with another Top 100 in the fold. I have nothing against Caleb, but I think this is a prime chance to capture surplus value. Again, all hinging on the fact of a team willing to pay up. He will be 28/29 next year, and hasn’t thrown more than 77IP in a big league season to date. If someone wants to pay up for him, I’m all ears

The 4 guys you have competing for the 5th spot should all be good enough on their own. Definitely seeing the depth now. Also we might still have a couple more who sneak into the picture by the time we're ready to compete.
