July 3, 20197 yr from a CBS sports write-up of Misner... There are a lot of red flags regarding his ability to hit for average, however, as he fell flat against SEC pitching this season. In 30 games of conference play, he hit .222 with a 39:21 K:BB. He may be able to improve in that department with pro instruction, but even in a best-case scenario, he will be a slow mover to the big leagues, relative to the other top college hitters in this class ------- fuck him if he's a greedy bitch
July 3, 20197 yr I am not sure how anyone can side with either party. We don't know if the offer was a lowball (below slot) offer or Misner's agent is asking for above slot money. They have to be able to give Bleday enough so they can't overspend elsewhere until he's signed. There is not an unlimited pool of money available in the draft. Either way, I would not hit Misner for it. His agent is very likely handling the negotiations. Misner would step in if it becomes a take it or leave it deal.

It isn’t a matter of being cheap, it would mean not having enough money available to spend on Bleday. They are only allowed to spend a certain set amount total. But again it is all speculation, we don’t know what his agent is asking for.
