August 16, 20205 yr We got out-pitched, plain and simple. Some baserunning mistakes hurt, for sure. Brinson first two hits of the year. Monte first career homer. Lewin first career hit. I'd like to see Lewin get a start tomorrow.
August 16, 20205 yr Frustrating because we could have won this one but this team is fun and is seriously hanging with teams that are clearly better than us. No matter what happens the rest of the way each win says we're closer than we think.
August 16, 20205 yr Enjoyed the pitching battle between Fried and Castano. Duvall hit a grown man HR, pure muscle, can't be mad at that pitch from Kintz.

August 16, 20205 yr Tough loss, Fried vs Castano and the lineup we had going in I kinda figured this for a loss but could've stolen this one with a timely hit or two. I don't even know how Duvall hit that out, pitch was outside and he looked all off balance... hard to blame Kintz there. 0-5 with RISP so just never came through with the big hit (other than Monte's blast which was great to see).

Monte getting picked off was huge too. He likely would've scored, and possibly pushed Freid out sooner. Gotta play smart, and take advantage of every situation you can against pitchers like him. Either way, I'd like to see more of Castano.
