Here is Jordan with a statement regarding the people who were apparently harassing his wife on social media cause pretty much shat the bed again. Yeah he sucked, but as a he said, it's a fuckin game, you don't have the right to involve the players' wives. I'll try to find the posts where people were saying those things for context.

As much as I have zero desire to ever see him in a Marlins uniform, I kinda feel bad for the dude. It sucks to work your whole life to get there and suddenly realize you're not good enough. That's some serious existential crisis shit.

I'm definitely generalizing and it's not fair but it crossed my mind how this is very much something more likely to happen from the Mets fanbase than from the Marlins fanbase. There's good people and bad people in every fanbase but I wonder if Jordan or his wife have thought something like "this didn't to happen to us when we were with the Marlins."

Hate to write him off at his age with a comment like this but "guys like him" need to realize that they were good enough to make it to the majors and to stick around "enough" and that's a huge accomplishment. Very few people even get that far. So hopefully he doesn't beat himself up over not being better.

Yup, first thing I thought was “that’s what you get on q New York team”

social media has become a cancer lol.

Yeah, this is exactly what I meant. This is why so many people over the years have said that it's very different playing in NY.

Where's that dumb "Always has been" meme when you need it.

Yeah I get you, and I’m not saying can’t ever figure something out. But his current repertoire/skill set are not gonna cut it. His curveball is slow and looping and he’s throwing less than 90 on the gun. Unless you have Maddux-esque movement that doesn’t fly these days. Granted, he used to throw a little harder so there’s a possibility of some underlying injury. But again, as is, homeboy ain’t gonna cut it.

True, but I feel like it's gotten worse and worse.  It was initially nice when you reconnected with people from long ago.  Now it's just a platform for everyone to throw (often faceless) criticism at others constantly.

MySpace was a beautiful place. The closest it got to spreading panic was the bulletins that implied that if you didn’t re-post them a murderer would come kill your dog in your sleep or some shit.

I'm convinced that it is like 1% of the users spreading like 99% of the hate.

I'd also agree with that.

As much as it shouldn’t happen, do people really expect to to not happen?

It’s social media, it’s people hiding behind phones and computer. If you can’t handle the criticism, threats, etc, don’t post on social media. It is 100% wrong, but it’ll never not happen.

Yea thats totally uncalled for and Yam is a nice guy too.

Yea but Jordan is saying that he can handle it but that his wife should be left out of it. He said he knows the criticism is part of the territory.

Pro athletes need to protect their family by not exposing them through any social media outlets.  Yamo is right, they shouldn’t go after his wife, but publicly saying it only shows that he isn’t very wise and could exposes more harm to her.   I don’t mean this in a bad way, just tuff love, but for his sake he needs to grow up and wise up real fast.

You've got a point. What's more likely, the bad guys suddenly stop because Jordan told them too or now they get on him even worse?

The more we seek justification in this world, the more likely we become slaves too it.

Novel concept:

Don't tweet out you are flying to see your hubby pitch?

Or

Dont be on social media at all, if you cant handle the toxicity of it all.
