CyggyMarlin
Yeah, the umps sucked, but man this offense outside of Sanchez really sucked... J. Sanchez was the sole offensive highlight tonight 4 games in, this team has the worst OBP in the NL (29th of 30 overall) .... terrible with RISP and averaging 2.75 RPG Not getting a big name free agent after the lock-out is becoming painfully apparent now... and FFS can we upgrade 3B? SongInTheAir
The offense is bad.

Bret Hart
Everybody looked so sfiff and hurried at the plate.
Morientes50
Wendle looks good and is a keeper. I have faith coop and Aguilar will turn it around. Anderson might take a month 😒 love stallings. Oso Alfaro seems to be hitting well at San Diego so far
TaiwanMarlins
We fans all want this team be good, but I believe we all not surprised for this situation, you count on the middle tier FAs to boost the lineup and it's what could happen. If this FO really determined to compete (we all hope) then they would be desperately to boost the offense more …
TaiwanMarlins
By the way, if Marsh a Marlins we win this game, right ? it's not to late to acquire him but the asking price would be higher after this great hitting game.
TaiwanMarlins
“It's still early ” would be the excuse to the LOSER, they do nothing when the team in trouble last season and what would they do now !?

Major-Minor
This team is hard to watch. I don't want to spend my time feeling sorry for Anderson... And thinking about who is getting traded and when they are getting traded. This is shaping up to be 6 or 7 games under .500 by the end of the month. Marlins: Sea what we threw together in 2022!

Shame that it already feels like it's done, another wasted year, even knowing it hasn't even been a week yet. Oh well, at least this probably all puts Mattingly in danger. Maybe that's something. TaiwanMarlins
Don't need one of Freeman/ Olson/Rizzoli, because Aguilar/ Coop are good enough. Don't need one of Correa/ Seager/Semien/Story/ Baez, because Miggy is good enough. Don't need Jose Ramirez because BA is good enough. Don't need one of Reynolds/ Mullins/Laureano/Marsh/ Adell, because we don't need a real CF. Don't need one of Jansen/ Kimbrel, because Floro/Bender are good enough.

To be fair on this one, we would actually have had to mortgage the future to make that trade. lol The rest, yes.

SS, 3B (Bryant), or CF all could have been upgraded, the former 2 for just money, but instead none of them were upgraded.

Really all 3 if you count Marte. The Mets may not put him in CF, but the Mets are the Mets. And more importantly Marte still had a positive UZR/150 last year, so while he is aging, it's not obvious he'd be any significant defensive liability. I think I was meaning more if they didn't want to spend the money on all 3 to purely upgrade via FA, that there were options other than just spending.
