June 10, 20233 yr Author Well, it was a good run. Heat seem to run into health issues of key players when it comes time to play in big games. In the finals in 2020 I think Goran Dragic was hurt at the time and these finals Tyler Herro is out. Not saying they would have won the championship if those players were healthy, but definitely would have made a difference. Well, Series isn’t over yet. Heat have to win 3 in a row to win the championship but Nuggets have to win just one more game. Chances are this series will end on Monday night. I’m still happy though that they made it this far, as the last place team in the East, all the TVs basketball “experts” were predicting they wouldn’t even make it pass the first round of the playoffs. So to make it all the way here and beat those great teams like the Bucks and Celtics to make it. They did good. I’m fully expecting the Nuggets to win the championship on Monday night, though. Yeah, with how they were playing, they weren't winning 3 in a row against that team. Sucks, but I took that mentality too - 8th seed vs. 1st seed. Butler having what, just 8 points through 5/6 of the game wasn't good either. Unfortunately the Panthers are in the same boat, though, down 3-1. I feel they have a better chance, but it doesn't look good.
June 13, 20233 yr Author Yeah just wasn’t the Heat’s year. Congratulations to the Nuggets, though. They definitely were the best team in the whole nba the entire season, so a fitting way to finish off. I know that there’s more to a team than just one player, but can’t help to think of things would have been different if Tyler Herro had not broke his hand in game 1 of the first round. That would be like if Jazz had played the entire season for the Marlins and been a big contributor to the offense and then on game 1 of the NLDS got hit in the hand and was out for the entire playoffs and WS. Maybe wouldn’t be enough to make a huge difference but still can’t help but speculate. Much like right now, we are speculating how things would be different if Jazz would have been hitting everyday in the lineup the past month instead of Davis or Hampson. Maybe an additional 1-2 wins? 😂
June 13, 20233 yr i know this won't be popular on here but i was happy Denver won to cross another team off the "never won it" list. Always good for a fan base to say they stuck with the team over the years and finally get rewarded with a title.
