The numbers reasonably back it up so far, as well. He’s amongst the highest line drive % and lowest soft contact %. And given how much he puts the ball in play, I think it’s even more impressive. The Marlins have just been so bad since like 2011 that any glimmer of a competitive team is a breath of fresh air. I'll say it again: I absolutely think there is potential here. The FO better not screw this up. Wishful thinking, I know.

We've played enough bad baseball this year so I'm in no way saying this team is great but almost all the wins this year have really felt like we're watching a really good team. When this 2023 team is on there's just so much to like. I don't know if that means anything but so far this has been one of the more enjoyable Marlins teams in a good while. Don't know how we bottle up that good play and find a way to play like that consistently though.

That's the sucky part about how everyone here knows we are close to something good, but we need those 2-3 extra pieces to just put us over the top/firmly into the "contending" category, instead of on the fence, yet the FO and/or Bruce won't make those necessary moves.

They literally need to look at the MASSIVE impact just putting an Arraez in the lineup has had - now imagine they had added even one more quality bat like Correa etc.
