June 23, 20233 yr Digging into Sandy’s peripherals his change up has really been trash. Everything looks similar to last year. Seems quite likely we’ll get good Sandy sooner than later, although not sure we ever get 2022 sandy again

My feeling on that is that it seems to be mental more than anything else. In some of those starts it’ll be an error or some lucky hit that sparks a collapse. It’s strange bc if his velo was down or something we can point to that. Even if he isn’t as good as last year, we know he’s not this bad either so I also believe this likely resolves.

No need to worry about him in the least bit, other than to look at some extension maybe in 1-2 years to lock in arby numbers, where you KNOW what you are paying him instead of 'guessing' and 1-2 years of free agency.
