Can't make any roster moves til sometime in November anyway. Besides they do have a GM currently regardless, an interim GM was named yesterday.

October 17, 20232 yr Has Skip made any comment on this yet? His contract is just thru next year with team option for 2025. I can imagine him going where Kim goes. I think they were close and developed a good relationship together and Im sure Skip is upset with this.

Their relationship to me seemed like any typical manager/gm one. Usually it isn't a case of a manager wanting to leave when GMs are changed, it is the GM wanting their own guy. Though I'd be surprised if the new GM wanted to change from the likely manager of the year.

October 17, 20232 yr I would imagine Skip stays one more year.. if the Marlins don’t make the post season he’s probably gone. Or if they are like 10 games under .500 in July he’s probably gone as well. If they make the postseason he probably stays another year.. but unfortunately I don’t see Skip as a long term manager for the Fish. Those days are over. With most teams seeming to fire their managers after a season or two of no playoffs or WS appearance. Maybe 1997 hero Craig Counsell could be the next Marlins skipper one day. He would fit in well on the Marlins I think.

Just like only a real Marlins fan can tell that Ng was terrible at in-season roster management, Red Sox fans will tell you that he was literally the worst GM in recent memory. For gods sake they fired him with only days left in the season!

Tried to have a Braves fan tell me Jeter was the catalyst for this team making the playoffs and even with full explanation that Jeter set us back, he kept laughing me off. Lol. Kim was slow on moving players up and down or releasing them but she at least did eventually know when to cut bait rather than "let's try and salvage this trade, sunk cost, whatever!"
