I 💯 believe Lizard, Arraez, Burger, and maybe even Scott (if he starts pitching well again) will all be gone by the deadline or sooner. Can't wait to see the rest of the Rays castoffs coming in.

Yeah him and Alex Cora will be the big names on the manager free agent market. Anyone ready to start some Alex Cora to the Marlins discussion. 😂 Nah, bro, at this point I’m so over the whole new manager thing. After all those years of Donnie and now Skip just for 2 seasons.. I don’t care who the next manager will be if they are putting out the type of players on the field they have been. Won’t make too much of a difference I think.

It's really just a hallmark of continued shit ownership from Loria to Sherman that there is seemingly turmoil every few seasons and entire new coaching staffs get rolled in. Just helps feed the ol' constantly rebuilding mantra and thus keeps costs down.
April 7, 20242 yr Makes sense that Bendix would want to bring in his own guy. Like other comments mentioned, I don’t think it really matters who the manager is.

Burger is controlled for like 4 or 5 more seasons, he’s not going anywhere for now Edited April 7, 20242 yr by mystikol87

April 8, 20242 yr Skip will have his choice of job next year, and I don't blame him wanting to leave. This ownership has nothing to offer him except disappointment.

(I also agree with you.)
April 8, 20242 yr Well, this is a weird move, but not unexpected. Many here have thought they'll swap to Kapler after this year (if not sooner) anyway.

I like Skip but if he is gone after this year, I see no reason to wait. May as well move onto the next guy ASAP. Waiting just delays getting the new guy acclimated to the roster.
