August 6, 2025Aug 6 Rod Allen: "Usually against Quantrill, teams would stack lefties, but Astros used 8 righties!"Quantrill vs Hitters (xSTATS)RHB: .338/.373/.589 (.311/.339/.524)LHB: .187/.261/.287 (.235/.305/.421)It's almost like the most analytically-driven team looked at the numbers!
August 6, 2025Aug 6 If Sandy isn't going to turn the corner the way we need him to, then we have to upgrade from Cal in the rotation. We can't have 2 ineffective starters in the rotation. We can try Gusto to see what he has, or call up Snelling and see if he's ready. We can't sit idle and hope for the best. I think Cal can be effective out of the out of the pen. Also DFA Wagaman! Edited August 6, 2025Aug 6 by Rydawg

August 6, 2025Aug 6 Marsee looks legit. What an easy swing. I can admit when I'm wrong. Bendix knows what he's doing.

He was only batting .246 at AAA and if he hits .250 in the majors that will be more than good enough. His strength is getting on base via walk. When he inevitably slumps in the next couple weeks and regresses to the mean people on here will be calling for him to be sent down and the love fest will be over.He has made some adjustments this year and could have long-term success but reality will set in and some point. That being said, I'm perfectly fine with Marsee at .240 with 100 walk pace if he can be solid defensively and be a menace on the base paths. He's almost like Arraez, Peyton Burdick, and Derek Hill all had a baby together and that baby was Jakob Marsee.

August 6, 2025Aug 6 Looks like the Marlins got Blubaughed today. As the calendar turned to August, the schedule ramped up. It is inevitable some of these pitchers will regress to the mean and with the majority of the lineup being rookies we are going to take our lumps from time to time. Nevertheless, we are on the right path for the first time in a long time.

I can’t get through a sentence without it turning half the words into something else. I think it’s cause I have the keyboard set to both English and Spanish concurrently so it has no clue wtf I’m trying to say lol
