If they dont hit all at the same time keep trading players before they cost money for more fliers. This sounds like throw shit at the wall and pray something sticks.Edit: also the hundreds of failures thing sounds like an idea to excuse the fact prospects we did get back arent progressing well that were in our top 30 after trades (Caba, Head, Augustin, Mazur,, Serna, Pauley, Acosta) Snelling, Marsee and Stowers might be the only ones turning out for all the established players we traded away who could have helped us win now.Accurate to a degree. To add though they have a plan to identify attributes of players and acquire a quantity to replenish and sustain success. It's not an all at one time thing but more sustainable for a long-time, a la the Rays. (they are clearly the model). It might be a failing plan, but it is a plan. We will have to wait and see. They have certainly not done well on the injury front and that is an area where they need to improve forecasting and analyzing. I've looked at it a bit and it is a very murky subject and one that is probably that problem that no one has been able to crack. Similar to accurately assessing prep and young foreign players. If any organization can figure that out, and it's an analytical problem not a financial problem, then they can unlock a gold mine.Agree that the trade prospects have been disappointing the last few years but if you look at the players we gave up outside of Luzardo (whom they deemed a high injury risk going forward) most of them haven't been worth a darn going forward as well. I think organizationally we have done a very poor job of player development on the hitting side and that needs to be addressed immediately. The area of strength we've been super successful is the waiver wire. That is the strength of the ballclub with Otto, Heriberto, Phillips, Hicks (rule 5), Ruiz, Junk, Bachar, Peterson all being absolute home runs for nothing (apologies if I put these in the wrong group). The team needs to be built on five things:1) Draft picks2) Free agents signings3) Waiver wire pickups4) Trade acquisitions5) International SigningsYou can assess them as you wish but I'd say #3 is the only A, we are improving on #1 and #5 but they are about a D, #2 is pretty clearly an F, and #4 is at best a generous C-/Incomplete.Appreciate your thoughts.

This pattern of player for prospect turned player for prospect turned player for prospect has to stop at some point.Loria atleast traded good / star players for players who eventually became stars or good players. He would sell the farm to give us a chance (Urbina, loduca, Rodney). he'd Rinse and Repeat and we'd see light at the end of the tunnel even if we died before we reached it.They competed in 2006. He sold out for 2012. They were competitive enough by 2014/15. We got to cheer for Casey Fucking Mcgehee and he was decent. We had hope for Dallas McPherson. We had Cantù. He signed dudes who could atleast give us hope. They'll sign MLB players for minor league invites and give them a shot to turn it around.Loria went after star free agents a few times.Meanwhile Sherman traded Stanton, Ozuna, Yelich, Realmutto, and Gordon (four mvp candidates through the years) for two years of Starlin Castro and Sandy Alcantara. Nevermind what he's traded away starting pitching wise. His big signing was Asvail Garcia and a Mr Softee Machine for his private jet. He won't even give a guy with MLB service time a second look. I can't remember the last "was once good" vet we signed for the MLB minimum to see what he had left.Sherman doesn't have a competing fucking bone in his Aricept riddled fucking body. It's been so long since he's seen his wallet that he's canceled all the cards and has yet to activate the replacements. Three years later. He deletes the Applepay / Google pay apps as soon as he gets his phone so he doesn't have to send his grandkids money. He randomly sends Venmo requests to Steve Cohen and Hal Steinbrenner hoping they would accidentally accept so he can upgrade his Chevy Impala with a new sound system. His $10 checks for their birthdays bounce because he keeps using checks from Barnett Bank on purpose. He hasn't changed the oil in his car since the dealer stopped giving him free oil changes. He would have a flat tire and drive past 6 shops and 4 gas stations so he can fill up the tire with free air from Wawa.I'm just sick of this shit.

The point is that they should have also ADDED besides that. All they did is subtract in terms of the 2026 roster.Oh well.I'm sorry man, but when we speak of the fans we're talking about the 12 here... because no one and I mean no one in south Florida gives a shit about this team because of how the market is treated by Sherman's and Manfreds MLB.

Jeter just went after every prom king and thought he'd get lucky.

How many years and how many owners has it been now where we're seemingly a couple players away from turning the good streaks into consistency and our shitty owners - Bruce by FAR being the cheapest - just absolutely refusing to acquire anything and just continually pushing the "let's wait and hope our prospects all magically hit at once - just give it x more years!" and then guys get older and the team is still either shitty, a fringy playoff team, or too old/expensive and it's right back to "well, time to rebuild!"Bendix literally saying he knows this is a good team and doing NOTHING to help it at the deadline is literally admitting they don't care if this team is ever playing meaningful baseball in October and beyond.TRUST THE PROCESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!**the process currently targets 2038 as "the" year, before that plan shifts it to 2053......then 2068........then 2101.....

But again, I feel like his goal isn't to win a ring, and it isn't your goal either.

Thursday at 04:33 PM5 days Replace Hicks and Bachar with Ramirez and Vodnik, good job Bendix. People say this team needs to trade Hicks because they have too many LHH and Hicks is the best among them.
Thursday at 04:40 PM5 days Yes, Peter Bendix WANTS to lose! This benefits him in MANY ways! This makes it MORE likely that Sherman keeps him around!MORE losing means MORE fans in the seats!I never really saw it from that perspective.

If they happen to win along the way, he's cool with that.If he really wants to win, then he's incompetent. If he resets the clock endlessly, he just has to say trust the process and start the new 3 or 5 year plan. Keeps his gig, Bruce cashes some more rev sharing checks.

Owners would trying to make profits before trying to win because it's their money. Front office guys would trying to make their boss happy before trying to win because they need the next contracts.

He was without a doubt the driving force behind so many fan unfriendly initiatives the Marlins enacted, and it's disappointing Sherman hasn't course corrected after their fallout. With that said, I play 2K just to plunk Jeter. Green Light

He was happy to take the first job offered to him because he wanted it on his resume. He got a chance to act as a MLB GM and titled Baseball President and took it. Any of us would have done that.He won't ruffle feathers and he will toe the company line. He'll keep Parroting what he's told to repeat by Sherman's PR and he'll do it with a smile because he has a steady paycheck, lives in a tropical city and can pretend he's trying while the baseball world knows his owner keeps him on a Gimp leash. The difference is some guys want to win, and some guys think getting in that position is winning.Bendix thinks he has already won and he's playing with house money. He doesn't realize the house money is Chuck E. Cheese coupons and he's going to keep trading them for a 5000 ticket blowpop and a pencil topper baseball eraser. He doesn't want to lose money, so as long as it "runs itself" he won't be moved to sell or compete. I'd give @Michael 's left baseball to get Loria to buy the team again. I'm pretty sure the ghost of Ol Crater Face Wayne Huizinga has more money than Sherman. Heck, John Henry's couch has more money in it.
