The bench has certainly gotten worse today. And the team is more open to risk if Mack gets hurt. I don't agree that the team is meaningfully less likely to win games the rest of the way than they were yesterday.

They absolutely did, but did anyone honestly believe this team was going to buy at the deadline? The 12-game losing streak was the killshot.

The return for Hicks was good. The return for Garrett (who hasn't even been a factor since 2023) was incredible.

It should not be though. The only thing that matters is they are 1.5 games back of a playoff spot and 3 over .500 today. Nobody expected them to have that June they had either.

I disagree that trading Hicks is selling.

If they were selling, Sandy would be gone.

I also hope we're seriously not considering trading Garrett as "selling..."

On a different note, I've never understood why they don't just make the trade deadline day an off day for all teams, instead of having teams pull players and have them on flights to their new teams instead of just having it an off day with time for them to get to their new teams?
