does anyone know where i can....
does anyone have any connections where i can get a couple cranes and wrecking balls? if i get my hands on these im driving to pro player aka dolphin stadium aka joe robbie stadium are destroying it. not like the dolphins are worth keeping either.... its not even worth playing next year. we cant even guarentee 50 wins if lo duca and pierre go. i hope conine goes somewhere else in the market but i dont think hes smart enough to leave... i meant to say and instead of are* INSTEAD OF HEY REF....YOU SUCK, like at panthers games its HEY LOARIA...you suck

What I feel
It's probably most appropriate to compare 06 to opening day 99, since Shef, CJ, & Bobby Bo weren't moved until mid 1998. Comparison, with my totally arbitrary + and - scores: 1B Lee/Jacobs - push, Lee didn't hit as a rookie 2B Castle/Castle 3B Orie/Cabrera - Clear +4 SS Gonzo/Hammy - push, both rookies, AG all-star by default C Red/Paulie - Paulie by a nose +2 LF PDub/Conine - PDub by an eyelash -2 CF Dunwoody/Pierre - Clear +3 RF Kotsay/Hermida - Kotsay by a hair -1 SP FatAlex/Willis - Clear +4 So, with today's team, 2006 wins by +10. If we move Castle, Paulie, and/or JP, it could tip closer to even. I can't recall the 1999 rotation, but I can't imagine it being better on potential than JJ, JV, SO, & #5TBA. 2006 +2 1999's pen is probably better, only because of Mantei's dominance. -2 who is castle?

An idea to save the Marlins
how many times have we heard samson and company say THEY DONT WANT TO SHARE A STADIUM I haven't. Have you? The problem with the dual purpose and adjoined stadium proposals are that they ask to the Marlins to sign a lease that, like their abusive one presently signed with Huizenga, they would receive reduced revenue shares of sky box sales, parking and concessions. um and you kidding? theyve said this at least 100 times within 3 years here.

Villone, LoDuca, Castillo News
oh and to add to my thought....loduca was a marlin ALL year last year and why would juan pierre and mike lowell need to be controlled? if anything they are 2 of the top 5 nicest guys on this club(last years team) by the way, why is loduca making that much money? Fans and the media say he's a clubhouse leader, you know, because he sure controlled Jeff Kent and AJ Burnett, Juan Pierre, Mike Lowell and all the other Marlins last year. WHERE IN THE WORLD DOES IT SAY LA IN ANY PART OF THIS? please point it out, because i am in reading class, i must have missed something? :banghead

Bring back Braden!
Jones is washed up, one good year. forget about it. plus hes what 50? and from what it looks like we are going young. bring back looper and let the minor leaguers prove themselves too. jones will be in the bidding wars with other teams now that the top 2 closers are off the market. i say bring back loop for 3 mill. or less and let jones go play somewhere else and mess up.

How do you think Giardi Feels?
On the bright side, he'll be able to pimp on South Beach. Being a single professional athlete (or a major player for da U) in Miami has to be like the most fun ever. I bet D-Train gets all kinds of play from fine women. what are u talking about? this was about the manager not d-train as my former biology teacher would say....."youre an idiot" :banghead

Bring back Braden!
well its not like it can get any better after whats happended the past week so why not, how bad can it really get? 2006 prediction: 69 wins

Favorite Marlins game outside the Playoffs or WS
The middle game in Boston, 2003. Can't say a bad word ever about Mike Lowell after that. Hee Seop Choi's homerun in his first at bat, 55,000 fans in the seats, opening day 2004. I still shiver thinking about that day. The hopes. So much glory. There's been so many... FAVORITE HOME GAME: d-backs and marlins d-train and randy johnson i remember hiding in the dugout everytime castillo came up bc i was afraid of him choping a johnson pitch at my head also dontrelles one hitter against the mets was home FAVORITE AWAY GAME the game that changed the season boston...wow what a comeback...i remember me and buddy watching it online and being like oh my god no way, and we got drunk after that

Did Florida Juice Lead To Marlins 2003 Ring?
I wouldn't doubt Lowell did roids. JP was just progressing and it's very likely Alex Gonzalez did roids. Just because they put on a black hat with an F on it doesn't make them angels. um yeah, as my former biology teacher and still friend, would say....YOURE AN IDIOT
-
Did Florida Juice Lead To Marlins 2003 Ring?
i was the batboy for those 2 years and yeah no one ever touched any of that. and i hate canseco for even saying pudges name in that book. he would never do that and neither would any of that team. oh and by the way, to the poster of this.....YOU HAVE WAYYYYYYYYYYYY TO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS

Moving along...
Lets move them to Hialeah. Raul Martinez is good at making money pop out of thin air. :mischief ha :banghead i hope u are kidding....people would get shot there. not to metion WAYYYYYYYYYY TOOOOO MUCH SPANISH to handle for a 3hr plus event :thumbdown bad choice... move em to orlando, combine with the drays and have one florida team, like it should be

Lies lies and more lies
wasn't it jeffery loria himself that said he wants to keep baseball in south florida, and he will do everything in his power to do so? didn't he know going in that if it didin't turn out he could lose a great deal of money? so here we are 2 years removed from a world championship (which you promised us, and with that you deserve to be congradulated and thanked) but now... we're cutting payroll, reconstructing and relocation seems to be the next step because of lack of funding for a new stadium. well here's to you mr. loria. you promised us, loyal fans of the marlins, limited as we are that you would do anything in your power to keep the team in south florida. so i say, sell the team, sell the team to a person who can afford to pay for a stadium and stop bullshiting us like you did to montreal. thats all No one wants to loose money. The Marlins are just not a succesful business... and we can blame the people of South FLA for that. No help to build a stadium, nto enough people going to games. Even though they have been competetive the last 3 years including winning a World SEries. I really hope they do move this team out of Florida because, we do not desrve a basbeall team. and furthermore.... you calling Loria a liar is a little unfair. The guy has done all he can including loosing LOTS of money while bringing a winner to south FLA and all you can do is call him a Liar. Boog makes a good point...loria knew EXACTLY what he was getting himself into buying this team. he gambled his money at the expense of south florida fans.(the ones that loved the team neway)

PB Post: Beckett & Lowell about to be traded
as much as i love the sport and this team...get rid of them. we have been threw so much in 12 years with this team its incredible, good and bad this is so stupid and i hope something goes wrong and makes the deal not work, hell why dont the 2 prospects get hurt or something... every ownership that has passed through here has played the fans, almost as badly as girls play me in life.. goodbye marlins..thanks for the ring, the memories and the money

Billy the Marlin's real name.....
i vote that we revoke whoever started this post. this is by far the worst and most untrue thing ever said on this website. not only is it not true, its not funny. Billy is in his very late 20s as of '03, so now hes 30 wow..seriously you are dumb :banghead

Could Lowell or JP be packaged with Admin Beinfest?
Can you actually package GMs with players? Sure, Piniella was "traded" from Seattle for Randy Winn, but the Mariners had to send a non-prospect to complete the deal in the eyes of MLB. In this case, the Dodgers would simply send a warm body in return for all of Lowell's deal. wasnt lou pinella a manager? yeah thanks xo :banghead I was being smartass when I talked about JD Drew. If they want to trade us Penny back though I wouldn't argue. wait...you would take brad penny for lowell and pierre, and NOT JD DREW? :banghead okay now ive heard it all

What would you like to see happen this offseason?
I'd like the Marlins to sign George Steinbrenner to a long term deal. Maybe he can fund this team a new stadium. :banghead DUMBEST THING EVER SAID ON MARLINSBASEBALL.COM unless theres another george steinbrenner i havent heard of in the 12 years ive watched baseball. id like to see beinfest work his magic and get rid of delgado and pull something off that everyone on this site would be like OMG to...and i think itll happen to. i dont wanna see JP go and i dont wanna see nomar in a marlins uniform next year. lowell will be fine, its just called a "off season". id love to see a decent number 3 starter come through here but i dont think itll happen without a trade. oh and to have a lefty in the bullpen for once is probablly asking alot, but i want that too. and im sorry to add to this, and this has nothing to do with the marlins but i would pay thousands of dollars to see Frank Robinson go to the hill and back to the dugout in under 15 minutes.

Trade in the Works?
we shouldnt have to give a prospect AND JP...JP is too vaulable and all Paterson does is get hurt Forget It im praying this doesnt happen. look what happended to lee when he went there, f this NO COREY PATTERSON give us a decent pitcher too...rusch is old..ill put money down saying he wins 6 games next year. and we need a guy to win 10-12 to contend again
