Heckling the visiting team
I try to get into their heads as well, however, I'm sure there's going to be a lot more people at the Mets game. Unfortunately there's people lving in Miami who still think they're New Yorkers. God help us all!

Quick Question
Just out of curiosity, what ever happened to those uniforms that every team wore for like a game or two that was suppose to represent the future jerseys. There were like very "futuristic" if I can describe by words. I didn't like them too much but I was just wondering.

Quick Question
I would love to see those sunday jerseys as a sleevless vest. That would combine the "old school" uniforms with new school.

ESPN Power Rankings...
I actually like it when they do this to us...because then when we start doing good and showing the world what we're capable of, we get so much praise, that it makes up for it.

Marlins are no longer lowest in payroll
I think what you're trying to say is thank god for the talent scouts we have, without them...I don't even want to think of how depressing Marlins baseball would be. But no matter what, I love my Marlins.

Distance on those two HRs?
This is getting a lil out of hand...700, 900 feet?!?! I read an article stating that a guy who works for the Nationals by taking note of every single homerun hit at that stadium claimed that those two HR's were two of the longest he's seen, easliy eclipsing the 450 mark.

Marlins Pictures
Awesome pictures, love the Hanley one...and Miguel Olivo lost a lot of weight. Can't wait for the season to start.

Dan Uggla crystal ball
So let me get this straight, Uggla hits almost 30 homers his rookie year, and only surpasses 20 one more time in his career??? He has 90 RBI's his rookie season, and never reaches 80 again in his career??? He scores 105 runs his rookie season, and never reaches 80 again in his career??? What kind of moron would agree with these numbers??? I'm not saying he's the next Cabrera but let's give this guy some credit. He's much better than this.

Centerfield Idea
If that's the case, we'd probably have to give up a couple good pitchers, cause God knows Texas needs pitching. And let's face it, Sosa is a one year rental, so it would make sense if Texas does decide to hold on to this CFer for one more year. But like I said, i'm sure we could work something out with all the great pitching we have.

Yet ANOTHER option gone
I know I'm going to get chewed up because of this but am I the only one who likes Amezaga? He is one of my favorite marlins. Sure, he could use a little help in hitting, but in the winter league he did great. Who knows what he could do with a year of experience under his belt. Just give him a chance. He contributes a lot to the ball club, with his attitude, charisma, and skill too.

Marlins have baseball's hottest infield
100 homeruns for Mike Jacobs?! Where did they come up with that? He only has 31. Either way...I couldn't agree more with the article. What makes me even more excited is the fact that they're only talking about their offense. With Perry Hill teaching them, we've probably got a couple gold glovers in the making as well.

Low payroll even during construction of new stadium
Beinfest is one of the best GM's around. I'm sure if he tries, he can work out a deal with Cabs. Maybe a contract where the first year pays him around 6 or 7 million and then after that, once the stadium opens up and revenue starts heading towards our way, his dollar figure goes up and up to probably 15 -20 million a year. There are ways to work around this. And I think we should wait and see what Hanley, Uggla and everyone else does this year and next before we start talking firesale. And as far as Dontrelle is concerned...I still can't believe we haven't traded him yet. There is no way we can afford him AND cabrera...and in my opinion I'd rather keep Miggy.

Should the Marlins reconsider trading Dontrelle Willis?
In my opinion, I think trading Dontrelle Willis is the best thing for this team...depending on the stadium issue. It looks as though the staidum is progressing, so let's assume we get it done. I think we all can agree that there are many dontrelle's out there, maybe not personality wise, but talent wise. However, you only come across a Miguel Cabrera maybe once every thirty years, on your team that is. We have so may great pitchers in our system, Olsen, Johnson, Volstad, and many, many more. Let's be realistic, the way pitchers are getting paid these days, we will not be able to keep both Willis and Cabrera, even with a stadium. So I say we lock up Cabrera, because if Loria is true to his word and bumps up payroll after the stadium is finalized, we will have lots of moeny to spend, trade Willis for a future CF'er, and closer if we can. If dontrelle has an average season, his value goes down. It's already going down as we speak. So do it now, don't wait.

Stadium talk from floridamarlins.com
If anything Pompano would be the LAST resort...I mean the only reason why MLB is so determined to build a stadium down here is because they look at Miami as a gateway to the Latin Americas and other countries, where many of their players are coming from. I seriously doubt MLB wants a stadium in Pompano, but if there is no other choice, then so be it. As long as the Marlins stay in South Florida, I'm happy.

Replacement for Helms?
I do like the Mientkiewicz idea...he would definately provide some veteranship and I think he would like the idea of extending his career in South Florida where he grew up...didn't he go to Westminister Christian High School?

Most Memorable Marlins Game of the Year....
In my opinion, the best game of the year was the one where Jacobs hit the game-winning hit against the Cubs. The previous couple of weeks we were in a huge slump and although we had won the previous night, I think this game is what turned it around for the Marlins. I will never forget leaving the stadium, we could see the players entering the locker room and they looked like a little league team that had just won the championship. So yeah I think this game was the best one of the year.
