  1. God, I'm happy they are wearing the orange hat and that they have orange helmets for the look but--- I wish they would wear the white jersey wednesday with the orange cap. Would look epic.
  2. I think the rotation will be adjusted after the ASB- JJ, Buerle, Zambrano, Sanchez, Nolasco. He's got the potential, hopefully a pennet race can unleash it like it did for Beckett.
  3. Anyone got a pic of the Play Ball painting? Google is oddly not pinpointing it and I don't know what it looks like even, The guy seems like he's a graffitti artist, so I'm kinda interested. Here you go sir: Thanks man- I appreciate the posting. It looks nice. Anyone know if there is an website showing which art is where in the stadium?
  4. I'll post here, just to say I have been posting in the game threads all year when someone questions my fandom. I'll see you guys in Late October.

  6. The standing room only seats are on sale Tuesday at 5PM, what risk is there to take then? If you don't get the tickets, atleast you walk inside at 6PM and see them workout before Wednesdays Opening night.
  7. There's just nothing better than a jersey with tags which has been showered while being worn by a bum who probably never realized that he was wearing something that was worth more than a dollar. Did you give Uncle Wes a tip when you bought it? Actually, I gave him everything I had and didn't eat that day. I worked 12 hour shifts back then and he caught me 2 days before payday with $10.25 cents in my pocket. If by tip you mean .25 cents and change everytime I saw him then yes, Uncle Wesley got a tip. If Uncle Wesley was Aunt Wendy I might have been kind enough to donate a tip she might not have seen in quite some time, thats how happy I was when I got it. And yes, he knew what it was and who to sell it to. I told him I'd want it but don't have enough to offer him after he asked for $30. He took the 10.00 and appreciated the .25 as well.
  8. What is this 40,000 we are talking about? I'm rather lost. And I feel lost in the ghetto, so I'm not safe either.
  9. Wow, haha. Was the second one in better condition? Oh yeah- fricken bum had taken a shower and it still had the tags. But for what i paid for mine it didn't matter $10. There was one on eBay a nonth ago. I dint think it sold
  10. Here's my collection http://s1176.photobu...ms/x331/LBJ523/ http://s1176.photobu...t%20For%20Sale/ The jacket.. http://s1176.photobucket.com/albums/x331/LBJ523/Not%20For%20Sale/Marlins/?action=view&current=2002DugoutJacket.jpg I've been looking forever for that one. I bet you got it back then though, huh? Im surprised you dont have the Black mesh BP jersey from like the late 90's. Thats a sweet one. I rarely find one but when I do its too expensive and not in my size. I know I can alter it, but I cant find it anymore lol. Funny story about that jacket---- I was looking for it for a few years and gave up and one day last April or May a bum came in to my job wearing it. He saw my marlins hat and wanted to sell it- so i bought it. I cleaned the hell out of it for two weeks- degreaser, oxyclean, detergent and whatever I could find and finally was happy with myself. The kicker? He was wearing a second one the next day.
  11. Well, the uniforms look awesome, no idea why Reyes is wearing Orange with the Black and Ramirez with the Black hat. The patch looks cool. I like it contrasting. I had hoped it would match before.
  12. You did good, but for pretty much the same price I'm in section 7, row 5 AND have 4 more games to go to. Little heads up for anyone looking to get tickets....click the option that says Next Best Available if selected seat isn't available. Otherwise you'll keep getting an error. I clicked it and it finally worked for me. I think for opening day only the lower bowl is left to sell. Yea, but what I did was go on StubHub and buy tickets to four other games, on days that I wanted, and paid about HALF of the Marlins asking price in those particular sections. Plus, I am sitting in a different area each and every game; Lexus Gold for Opening Night, behind home plate for the Cubs, Left Field (1st row!) for the Pirates, 1st base line for the nats, and Vista box for the Red Sox... For all five games, in all those different sections, including Opening Day, I paid $575. That was just searching around StubHub for the best deals in the best section/row. Opening day cost me around 230 for my two seats, however for 120 I got the other 4 games, not that bad. Each seat is a good seat, a few of them row A or 1. These will do for the first month, it'll give me a chance to ge a few friends to go out and I may pick up other seats. I want to sit in the dugout section or founders club but I'll hold off until the price drops or a great matchup pops up. As far as where I'm sitting opening day, I saw those same seats between 244 for 1, with no option to get a 2nd seat, to and 300 each to get two together.
  13. Jesus Christ- somewhere Blake Griffin and his family are suddenly happy he's a Black Ginger without actually being black.
  14. Anyone recording the game?
  15. Want him stretched out, and not for spot starts. If a starter goes down for a significant amount of time, I don't want to have to scramble to get a guy stretched out or go with subpar options because the LR isn't ready. If Wade LeBlanc never spends a day with the major league team this year, I'm thrilled, because it means we don't have a use for him. who would you prefer then? they now have a use for another reliever because Ceda is out. If you want Gaudin, fine. Or they'll have to roll the dice with someone else. LeBlanc's had a nice spring, I think he deserves some time in the pen here. If someone goes down they'll adjust. I think every pitcher is a bit different, some don't need a lot of time to adjust to throwing 5 or 6 innings, LeBlanc isn't exactly a max effort guy anyway. They'll figure it out. Anyway, not a huge deal. Willis looks perfect right now as a Mop Up/ Long Reliver-- too bad hes in baltimore
  16. Hit - Reyes Double - Reyes Triple -Bonifacio HR - Stanton RBI - Stanton Run Scored - Reyes Walk-Off Hit - Hanley Stolen Base - Reyes Caught Stealing - Hanley Error - Bonifacio Win -Josh Johnson Streaker Across the Outfield- Morrison

  18. Yeaaaaaa God does that look beautiful. I wish the ones I just bought could be picked up at will call. Stupid Print from home.
  19. Last I remember it was $7 to park, I've never parked elsewhere but there aren't a lot of options since its on shared complex with the the rodeo!, also not sure about water, but most stadiums allow it as long as its not been opened. Look for me I'll be wearing a white Marlins polo (old logo) and standing down the RF line. You can park by the convention center, it might be a bit of a walk though. I played there last October and it didn't strike me as a place they would catch you parking and leaving. There is a Mcdonalds o..... On second thought, the game was 4 hours ago...I'm a dunce.
  20. Well, I'm broke now. Wonderful. Section 6, Row 5 @ 115 each Section 324, Row's 1 or HH for 10 to 25 each.... Came out to 349 for 10 tix. Well worth it. One of them was my birthday, a game I was going to anyway.
  21. Keep your shirt on, the name will not be Marlins Park. It's strictly temporary until they get their naming deal worked out. How many times do I have to say that the Marlins, who managed to get the naming rights allocated strictly and unilaterally unto themselves are not going to walk away from 50 to 100 million over 10 years? Right now, with the park 99%+ complete, they're concentrating on the final details. Which is not to say that they aren't paying any attention to the naming deal, that's obviously an ongoing subject of negotiations. I hope the splash they've made is worth 8-10 million/year. We'll see, and soon. My shirt is on. I do find it funny that some people on here think naming it County Stadium or Municipal stadium sounds stupid considering many classic stadium have bore that name. Furthermore, money is fungible. To suggest otherwise is silly. Dollars may indeed be collected from tourists to fund the project but you can't ignore the opportunity cost of allocating those dollars to this enterprise. There's where we pay. So what's the timetable for getting a metrorail/tri rail connection to the stadium? No money? Dang! OK, proceed to bash this comment with all of your intimate knowledge of our local government restrictions on spending tourists tax dollars which may or may not be believable. Here's some intimate knowedge of our local government.... We live in a f***ing Banana Republic where when sh*t gets done right, it has had to been redone twice over before. To have this beautiful facility represent Miami to 29 other Major League Cities is a crowning achievement in and of itself and something everyone should take great pride in. To turn something so beautiful and meaningful to thousands of people in and around Miami into a pissing contest on how the money allocated for it's construction could have been better spent is splitting hairs at this point. It's built. Enjoy it for what it is. Marlins Park is a beautiful woman with very delicate and exotic curves, yes the money spent on her fake tits and painted nails could have been better spent on your mortgage and car payments--- but at the end of the day you just want to f*** around and have fun.
  22. I wonder if i can still get 10 game season tickets, anyone know?
  23. I'll piggy back on this, but for other games. I'd love opening day tickets, but I'm looking for regular season ones mostly. May 23rd to be exact, possibly a few mets games. Anyone have full season seats that they are willing to sell? PM me.
  24. Any chance this is available online?
