  1. Authentics have full embroidered layered tackle twill, which is pretty much layered fabric sewn directly onto the fabric with better materials and construction, as well as the appropriate shiny thread where needed. They come in multiple sizes, but usually numbered- 40 a Small, 44 a Medium, 46 a Large, 48 is a L-XL, 50 a XL, 52 a XL-XXL. It is what the players wear. They are very well made. Replicas have single twill which is painted with the logo's and then glued/sewn onto the jersey. The glue and colors tend to fade after a few washed, and then become very distressed after about 20 washes as the colors are painted on. This is what you find at Sports Authority or Champs lately.
  2. This is going to get awesome. This just got awesome.
  3. And, of course, people who actually like the stuff have been doing the same thing, so I don't see what you are bitching about. You took the words right out of my mouth in responding to Piazza. There are just as many people in this thread repeatedly expressing their extreme approval as those expressing their extreme disapproval. Somehow, though, it's ok for those who like it to say they'll buy the hat in a heartbeat or that they love it, but those of us who think it's a dud are to remain silent? That's not the way America works. I don't think people saying they like it or don't like it is the problem, its when they say it over and over again sometimes on the same page where it gets annoying. Those saying they like it have said it once, and left after the person who didn't says it again and proclaims it horrible. Personally, I like the differing opinions, it's good for the team to finally get a rise out of some of the bandwagon fans. But I don't see a need to say it over and over again how it's bad (or good). Say it once, then add something to the conversation the next time you write something. You own jerseys and hats from rival teams and you're talking about bandwagon fans? lol Who give a sh*t what I own, others own crap too- I buy stuff I'd like to own and keep. Your a fan of the team, the players, the stadium and the personnel moves. You may like the colors and the logos' but they all vanish over time outside of the Yankees. Your supposed to grow out of that stage when your 10 and you've picked your favorite colors and started focusing on your favorite players. Either your 10, or just a 20-30 year old neanderthal who happened to learn how to use a computer. You need to celebrate the players and the community sense of a team. One of the best things about the Green Bay Packers is how that community rallies around them. The players never want to leave. The fans never bitch about the logos. (And yes, they've changed over time- more then a few times). Look at Willis McGahee, when he left Buffalo he said there was sh*t to do there but go to applebees. Have you ever heard anyone say that about Green Bay? Everytime I hear someone mention the logo, they act like Loria is trying to get us all to chomp on each other. Your not excluded either louiecastillo, your "Marry it in San Fran" thing. I'm a 24 year old straight male, and even the fag jokes are getting old to me. If you think the logo's gay, then go **** yourself for being a Marlins fan. I grew up in locker rooms, making fag jokes with each of my teammates, making the other teams scared to stand in the crease because i'd mess around with their heads. I've partyboyed another teams locker room when they scored 10 goals on me, and even the fag jokes are getting old to me. How's that for an opinion. If you can't say anything other then the logo is for fags or women, then think of something original to say before you open your mouth. It reflects really poorly on the intellect of this community that Admin's provided us with when we are bashing gays and saying were a team of fags. /end rant

  5. Honestly, I don't care if the mascot is a giant piece of turd. As long as it's a giant piece of turd whose team is located in Miami, I'll wear a giant-piece-of-turd shirt to baseball games proudly because it's my giant piece of turd. Didn't we already do that from 1998-2002?

  7. What makes them a whiner is the extents they are going to in order to let others know they are hideous,. We get it, you don't like it. Stop repeating it 100 times. Its like signing a petition 100 times, so you can say you have 103 signatures. You don't like, it. We get it. Your not going to buy the current Marlins gear? We get it. Do we need to hear it a few more times to know where you stand? Now your whining. Do you get it?
  8. Does la russa retirement help our chances at pujols? I doubt it'll matter much even though Pujols was reportedly close with him. I disagree Admin, I think it means alot. Personally, I think Albert either dictates who his next boss will be, or he waits to find out their decision before he makes his. I wonder how close he is to Big Mac, and how far behind other coaches like Mattingly, Ventura and Gibson he is in terms of potential/training. I'm sure he learned alot under LaRussa this year. I think the odds just became 70% he stays, 30% he leaves.
  9. I thought the loser of the NLCS would come to Miami, so I got a feeling Fielder is coming. When your owner gives you a standing O, you know he's not resigning you. (Note:IDK if prince resigned already, just speculating.)
  10. I wonder if the logo was changed after the fact, and this cap is now a factory second type thing. That may explain why it was mistakenly put up for sale.
  11. Well, not an entire abomination- I kinda like it.
  12. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6040/6267151487_33a7d8b9d0_b.jpg Let's go "Marlines"!!!
  13. Don't forget fella's, the Original Miami Marlins played there in the 50's I believe.
  14. Does anyone think that Lids stores have them stored in the back right now waiting to be put on the shelves? I'm surprised that a photo hasn't leaked yet. Maybe someone should bribe one of the minimum wage employees to see just how many different hats there are and what they look like. Marlins have exclusive rights for a week, then the 17th new era will overnight them to lids for sale the 18th. They have received an email tho with the images. Chris, Will everybody be getting them overnighted or just Florida Stores? I wonder if New Era would spend to get them out fast to NC. He made it seem like it was just the South Florida stores overnighted, not too sure though.
  15. From someone who has seen them-- Both the Marlins home and road caps are black

  17. You mean no one can now easily spot me at a game based on my jerseys?
  18. Nope, mostly people I meet in day to day activities, people in line, driving behind me or in front, people who come in for customer service at my job and act like scum. Professors at school, even some students (FIU) Most of the time, people are caught up in their own BS. Your driving 80 on the left hand lane, they beep and flash lights because they want to go 100MPH. People don't hold doors, say thank you, or even notice when you do something as kind as giving up your seat on the metrorail for someone.
  19. It's a sh*t hole if you live there, nice if ya don't. Ding ding ding we have a winner. Most of the people live here are pieces of sh*t. The weather and some parts of town are awesome. The people, I wish they'd jump off a building so thy can repaint the sidewalks.
  20. Glad he's interested in explaining whether he was calling South Florida a "sh*thole" or not. This place is a sh*t hole, seriously.

Check this out, I found it kind of amusing all things considered.
  22. I think he wants it to be that awkward and clippy, but he needs to alter the way it's done. His father needs to be a sideshow once in a blue moon, maybe once or twice a week. I'd love to see him on TV the way his radio show is. Just talk, move around subjects, invite a guest.
  23. The fish tanks are the most unique part of the park. It's the thing that's going to be shown during telecast introductions before the announcers start talking. I'm going to preface this by saying I know a lot about fish tanks. I'm very afraid that the fish tank idea is going to fail miserably. Judging by the drawings of it, it looks like they are going with a salt water tank of about 500 gallons. The problem is that salt water fish are very sensitive to vibration. It stresses them out and stress kills fish. I Dead fish floating around in our tank sounds like a bad story. I'm going to laugh when Stanton fouls one back and all of these fish float to the top and turn upside down. I'm sure they'll design the tank to look like it is filled til the top with water, but about 1 foot of it will be covered by a black bar or something incase a fish dies you can't see it. Like a 1 foot censor across the top.
  24. I expect a payroll of 110 Million, IF PUJOLS expresses a desire to play in Miami. Same goes for Reyes, Buerle, and Zambrano. If they express the desire to be here, Loria will express the desire to part with his money.
