who's going to the final SunLife game?
says Marlins fans. Mike Piazza's a Met Piazzas as much a former marlin as aven, manzaillo , and bones. Not to mention Piazza's lived in Miami since college at UM an MDCC. I'm just wondering who Bruce Aven is? Was Kevin Orie and Brant Browne not available?

Team Colors and New Logo
The new uni's were described to me as "A circus meets Halloween, looks like they are going with a corporate like logo". I'm not too sure I'm excited to see them anymore. Anyone have access to MLB Style Guides on here? It should be updated by the 15th.

Mike Piazza is showing up? That's a little weird. Says f***ing Who? You got a god damn problem with that? I'm f***ing ecstatic. I finally get to finish out my 11th Birthday wish, See my favorite player represent the Florida Marlins! I cried that day I found out he was traded already. I freaking cried, and cried when Vanbiesbrouck left later that summer as well! I went to the May 23rd Game, my birthday, expecting to see him!!! Now I'll see him in JRS representing the Marlins 13 Years Later! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! Not Updated since April- http://s882.photobuc...20PIAZZA%20NFT/

New Logo/Uniform Update
4 colors just in the piping? that doesn't even sound like it makes sense. this 4 colors thing is scaring me, and a few people who claimed to have seen it are either saying it's correct or at least they aren't denying it. I was browsing the sportslogos.net forum. all those dudes are graphic designers, logo/color experts, etc... one guy who's seen it (supposedly) in response to some long-winded post about green+orange: "Hate to say it, but almost everything written here is wrong. Brace yourself for what you're going to see on November 11." and then some other guy: "My uncle works in the Marlins front office and has seen the new uniforms. I asked him if he could describe them to me. He said that if he did he'd have to "walk me down to the river"... " whatever that means... I think it involves you putting cement shoes and being thrown in. I think you should do it . Make sure you post here first though. There'll be a special award for you in the next MB.com awards for making the ultimate sacrifice. :mischief. I think it is reference to the Miami river. What was found there before? Indian remains right? Any artifacts? What colors were used?

New Stadium Pics
Hample, Don't think we all hate you. Some of us would be doing the same thing as yourself, except in different ways. Apparently one of the members here has taken issue with your methods, and although they are calculated efforts they seem morally bankrupt. Nevertheless, we all respect your right to do what you do however we feel your efforts should be less short sighted then "There's the ball, get the ball" and more "There's the ball, let me get out of the way of the kid and let him catch it on his own". Unfortunately your "Profession" is very much in the same light as our local Miami Hurricanes team, shamed, tarred and eventually feathered on the national scope. From the mocking of Conan O'Brien to these very message boards, your antics and ways are less encouraged and more admonished based on your own testimony. Who in the right mind would sit next to a family with small kids to catch more baseballs. Visit the parks because you love them, catch a single ball as a memento of that evening and find another way for others to reward and help you charity wise then picking up baseballs. Why not hold pledge drives at stadiums with team support, planned well in advance. Have supporters pay a certain dollar amount per run scored at a game attended, and a bonus for a ball caught. If you were to do things like that, teams will not only aid you in the charity end but also welcome you with open arms into clubhouses and players. I'm sure the Marlins Community Foundation would love you to speak to kids on how to catch a ball, and may even offer free tickets and air time to help raise money for a worthy cause, such as breast cancer research around Mothers Day, and the next month for Father's Day. In other words, until your actions are more modern and adult like in nature you will be seen more as a greedy pest among spectators and less Charitable Zach Hample. Face it, the mental image most have of you is similar to this Rather then this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcpDcrZFFJM

New Logo/Uniform Update
On second thought, drop the copper. It would look bad- silver blue and sportgold with maybe a red accent or emerald green. Orange if needed.

New Logo/Uniform Update
To be honest that is a beautiful blue. What color is that exactly? Like the okc thunders blue? Mix emerald green and yellow with maybe a hint of bronze or copper and we got a ballgame if done right.

New Logo/Uniform Update
In all of my dread about about looking like the Muts w/ Blue and Orange or a pack of skittles w/ the Stadium Logo tip, I didn't stop to realize a possible Orange, Blue and silver color scheme would play homage to the original Miami Marlins. I suppose I could support that decision over time, especially in lieu of the non-teal alternatives, though it's incredibly ridiculous to mirror the color scheme of an in-divisional rival no matter your intentions. Being truthful, as long as the team de-emphasizes the Black ( I love the old teal hats/sleeves) and doesn't take up Navy Blue or Red--- I don't give a f*** what color it is. Pink, with a giant bag of f***ing M&M's glued to the front of the hat is better then black. This team needs a vibrant color as it's identity, be it teal, creole blue, orange, yellow, shamrock green, or even pink. As long as it's not black, I'll be happy with it. Miami's too vibrant of a city to be wearing black.

New Logo/Uniform Update
Honestly guys- I think the blue/ orange/ silver rumor is something that is possible as a throwback Sunday.

Team colors may very well be Red,Orange,Yellow, and Blue
If someone has actually seen hats, I think it's safe to assume they are the game hats at this point. Oh, and Piazza31, your expertise would be welcomed in my "baseball hat talk" thread in the Outfield subforum. I'll love to join the convo- I'll be over shortly lol

According to someone who has seen the New Era caps being prepared for next year- Expect the rainbow that's in the stadium logo. I'm nervous to see what it looks like. There's a ton of New Era Marlins hats that are all kinds of weird colors. How can your source be so sure that the hats he saw are the ones for next year? I'm not sure- but this is what he said exactly " Post subject: Re: Miami Marlins Posted: Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:57 pm Replies: 21 Views: 976 My New Era Rep. has seen the colors they are using on the hat and told me that the "rainbow" in the picture above in this thread will be used on their Onfield hat. My Majestic Rep. won't tell me a damn thing .....very,very sad that they are losing the Teal"

Marlins Have Interest in Brandon Inge
If we get Inge, I can only help his unselfishness rubs off a bit and he resumes playing C and 3B together, while pushing Helms right off the team. That's my only hope. Helms is nice, but he needs to retire and stick around as coach if anything.

Coghlan has setback
Shut Cogs down for the year, have him just do rehab/baseball activities and maybe play in a few games at the end of the year to shake of a little rust if we can afford it. I'd venture to say why not move Cogs back to the infield, and see if he can be a utility guy who plays everday at LF/3B/2B. Or maybe our every day 2B who spells Boni at 3B and Lomo at LF when they need rest. I like him, but no need to push him. Same with JJ unless we are in the playoff race towards the end.

Sun Life Upper Deck Closed for Baseball
I won a hummer in 456 under the jumbotron before they changed the jumbotron in 2008. She was a keeper. Should have kept her. Wonder what she's up to now.

Gaby Sanchez Needs to Stop Bunting
He's being a team player, we need selfless players who will move the runner over m. Especially when the team was slumping like it was

Any word on partial season ticket plans yet?
I so happened to wander down to the new stadium yesterday afternoon. I asked about flex packs and he said those are still about 6 months away...He said they were getting ready to introduce half season ticket plans very soon though! Again this was yesterday at the new stadium headquarters.. We couldn't get a straight answer yesterday. More like, "Best guess is..." Also got a hint at the new colors. I think they will be blue, orange, and silver. And isn't that the METS???? Loria: Met's are Black, duh! Us: Black, Blue, and Orange. Loria: Wrong, Black, Dominican and in the Red, n***a!!!!!!!!

Who is this team's All Star this year?
I think anibal and Leo make the team outright, and Gaby makes it as an injury replacement for Pujols

Jose Lopez gone-
Jose Lopez is gone, and he's taking the month of June with him. Can't wait to see who the fish bring in. Since he's been here the marlins have imploded. Peterson is up now, Demon Lopez be gone!

Brainstorm:Trade Hanley
Is it just me or is this article absurd? http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22297882/30198613 Whats so absurd about it? Do you not like my day job? You really wrote that? Geez, what are the chances of that. Well if you did, all due respect, I just don't agree with the opinion your stating. Its like the Marlins are just waiting to get rid of Hanley like they did with Cabrera and I don't see that happening. Hanley is the everyday face of this franchise and despite the Fish's past history with getting rid of star players, the stadium is supposed to turn that around. I feel like the Marlins will hold their ground with Ramirez until the last minute of his contract because they're supposed to be establishing a fan base and maintaining those star players like Hanley and JJ. Bottom line, to trade Hanley will fuel those casual fans who say "The Marlins always trade away their good players." And I just don't see the FO doing that, especially with Hanley who can be as good as anyone in baseball despite his 2011 struggles. Nah, didn't write it, but what WERE the chances of it popping up. I wish he would have flat out said Wright/Reyes for HanRam, although today he's showing some fire and heart, I dig it. More of that, and I'll definately turn around root for him more. One of the reasons I don't so much other then being a Marlins fan is he doesn't lead the league in "fire in his eyes". and now he throws out wells from his knees, one more week and I'll but a authentic HanRam jersey. Hopefully the fans there are letting him know his hustle is going noticed and is appreciated.
