Marlin Nation
I think Miguel is going to have a ton of "youngest player to reach" stats. I thought it was so true when during tonite's game Tommy said that we were so lucky to follow the early years of Cabs' career.
PBMarlin
No doubt Cabs is going to break many more records along the way.

I know you're a Marlins fan, but no real baseball fan would ever say "the hell with Pujols." He is going to be one of the all-time greatest players in the game of baseball. MarlinsContinueTo ShowDomi
I expected Pujols-like numbers from The Boy Called Cabs, and he has done so for the most part, but Pujols is clearly still the more polished hitter of the two. The Big Hurt
What we need to do is sign Migue long term like the Cards did with Pujols... i wouldn't mind giving him a 10 year - 100 mil contract.

Carlos Beltran signed for 7-$119 mill and he's not nearly the talent Miguel is. Miguel would probably get a good bit more money if he were on the open market. Cabrera's deal also would simply be buying out the arbitration years and a few years of free agency. His situation when compared to Beltran is a few steps above apples to oranges. Not to mention, Beltran has more tools than Pujols or Cabrera (not saying that the Mets wouldn't like a refund, or that I'd rather have Beltran), and Pujols is probably the better player to Cabrera. Then again, this is like arguing between a Maserati or Ferrari.
industrialescampeon
There are only about five guys that I would give that kind of money to: A-Rod, Vlad, Manny, Pujols and Miggy. Of course, A-rod is making much more than that. Dunno about Manny and Vlad's contracts.
