November 22, 200519 yr Author Whoops, so caught up in all this that I totally forgot about Sanchez. Should also add Chris Volstad.
November 22, 200519 yr Dont think hermida would be considered as a prospect anymore... He's for sure starting in 2006
November 22, 200519 yr He is still a prospect in the official eyes of Baseball America until he logs a certain number of innings. He was also just listed as our #1 Prospect for the third year in a row. My opinion on the matter... 1: Hermida 2. Ramirez 3. Olsen 4. Sanchez 5. Josh Johnson 6. Chris Volstad 7. Aaron Thompson 8. Taylor Tankersley 9. Kris Harvey 10. Andino? Ryan Tucker? Jacob Marceaux? I don't know. Hopefully soon to be: 1. Hermida 2. Milledge 3. Ramirez 4. Olsen 5. Sanchez 6. Petit 7. Josh Johnson 8. Chris Volstad 9. Aaron Thompson 10. Taylor Tankersley Or maybe not.
November 22, 200519 yr God the future of this team looks awesome. an dhopefully thatfuture isnt in Las Vegas
November 22, 200519 yr Hermida is. Although it could be argued that because Ramirez is the ONLY hitting prospect we have that plays a defensive-critical position his panning out is more critical to the team's future than any of those prospects, including Hermida.

I agree, Ramirez is more important to this team than Hermida is, though I don't necessarily think Ramirez is a better player than Hermida.

November 22, 200519 yr I'd give the nod to Hermida as the top prospect. If the remaining trades go well, and more top prospects arrive...this team will be tough in another year or 2 when those prospects mature with experience and the legion of pitchers from the minors come up
November 22, 200519 yr I'd jump all over a Delgado for Milledge/Petit deal. I'd probably actually jump, up and down, maybe clap some, and pop a few brewskies in celebration.
November 22, 200519 yr I love having Delgado's bat in the line-up, but his defense was tough to watch... Mixed feelings if/when he is dealt

November 22, 200519 yr I dont know if the mets give up both of them though. But id take a Milledge, X man, Hailman/Seo, prospect for him Also for LoDuca I do a three way between The Ms rock and fish, where we end up w/ Torrealba and something else for him, and id send pierre to Chi town.

Delgado would more than likely to get Milledge and Petit(another prospect, low level even), no worries. I'd rather send Lo Duca to the Dodgers, who are likely to overpay for their most popular player of this generation. If we include Pierre we could get 5 good prospects from them(Navarro and LaRoche are the 2 I'd want). Trade Pierre for position prospects, maybe straight up for Murton or Pie...or maybe Murton or Pie and another low level position prospect.

November 22, 200519 yr Hate to trade within division but Milledge is tough to ignore...I'd still like to get a good young first baseman prospect out of one of these deals...Not sold on Conine everyday at first (I don't hate Jeff but age has gotta play in as a factor eventually) and he won't be here much longer...

Screw Navarro, if we trade with the Dodgers we better be getting Russel Martin. I doubt the Dodgers would give up LaRoche anyway, so don't get your hopes up on that.
November 22, 200519 yr God the future of this team looks awesome. And the present...? You guys look like "prospects collectors". Who the f... cares about where your stupid prospect ranks in a silly list when you can barely scarp a living as a baseball team and end up losing 100 games 2 or 3 years in a row? I can't believe Girardi signed up for this sh...t!!! ... I can't believe I signed myself for this sh...t!
