First of all I'm super psyched about baseball season being back.......Ive ordered the MLB package for the first time and Im getting XM radio installed very soon cause they have the MLB radio package.

Why am I buying the MLB/XM package for the first time? Im planning on following the Dodgers a lot more this year (I was born in LA). If the Marlins franchise relocates I need to get back in touch with my current #2 team.

Id have a hard time supporting (buying merchandise/tickets) the Marlins if they relocated ANYWHERE.

Im sure Ill always have a place in my heart for the Marlins (whats left of the team as we've known it for so long) but it would make me sick to give Loria/Sampson any of my hard earned money if they took our team away without FIRST trying to sell it to someone who has capital to support a MAJOR LEAGUE FRANCHISE.

So my question is........will you guys be Marlins fans if they open 2010 anywhere OTHER than Florida?

Probably not. I'll be a fan as long as they are in South Florida where I can attend games regularly. If they move to San Antonio or other destination I'm certain I'll lose interest.

not sure, i got the Indians right here, but I just dont know, If I have to move to Houston in 2 years for Continental Airlines, then I might stay a fan though cause i will be fairly close to San Antonio, atleast close enough to attend a few games

i probably will, but i don't know for sure. i don't know how hurt i'll feel if it does happen.

That's how I feel, I want to say that i'd stay loyal to this team but honestly i just don't know.

I'd still follow them to see how the players are doing & all that, but a fan like I am now? No way.

exactly, things just wouldnt be the same anymore

if they go to SA then yes

I have as much connection there as I do miami (none) ... i've followed this organization for a long time and although I like the twins and may end up back in Mpls before all is said and done, I don't think I could just become a Twins fan - i really don't have a handle on their history or the emotional pull with the fan base

for better or worse i've been a marlins fan long enough where I've grown up with this team and it would be hard to get the same connection elsewhere

No chance. This board is full of Marlin fans who still go to games even with the product diluted. I'm a homer and the Fl. Marlins is my team, not the S. Antonio horse droppings. When they are gone, or tell us they are going, I am done. Baseball will never be the same to me again.
