Expectations for Moehler

5 innings 3 runs

yep, sounds good to me. Nolasco will probably come in and pitch 2-3 innings after Moe.

I'm not sure how he will do start to start but i dont think he should even be on the staff , he is not in the Marlins future plans , he doesnt eat up alot of innings so he will tax our weak pen every time he goes out . I understand the need for vet experience however lets be honest our team is essentially a team of rookies one vet isnt going to make alot of difference . Btw we already have willis to teach the kids the right way to do things

3 innings 5 runs

The selfish part of me wants him to get pounded so hard that they take him out of the rotation so I don't have to watch him get bombed in Cincy on Monday.

Moehler said he was happy with his mechanics when he was working on them the other day, so I can see him having a decent outing..... 6 innings giving up 2-3 runs

I see a quality start, over 7 innings.

With him so dangerously close to losing his rotation spot to(I am guessing) Nolasco, I am expecting him to give an A+ performance.

TOTALLY AGREE! He will pitch well tomorrow... 6+ innings only giving up 1 run.. Fish really need him to come out strong so we can get a BIG, MUCH needed win... Hopefully have the oppertunity for a series win with Vargas on the mound

Well... he has a 27.00 ERA. :plain

I just hope he pitches well tomorrow.

I don't expect much, considering the performances Moehler put in late last year, this ST, and so far this season. I just hope he isn't too disappointed when he is demoted to the bullpen. I recall seeing an interview with Minervini earlier this season in which he said one of the main reasons he returned to the Marlins was the fact he was promised a rotation spot from Loria. I don't see that promise holding for long.

I think he's yanked after he gives up that third run. Could be in the first, could be in the seventh, but he's on an incredibly short leashe.

This is what I think of Moehler.

you stole fizzy lifting drink!

GOOD DAY SIR. :lol

Moehler looked marginally better & I was about to call it an acceptable start until he gave up the blast to Vinny Castilla on an awful pitch. Don't know what's happened from early last season, but he seems to have lost whatever was working. Had 6 strikeouts, & his changeup actually looked decent. His fastball gets murdered.

Only a matter of time before Ricky or Josh begin to take starts from him.
