Amezaga, Jacobs, Borchard, almost everyone had multiple hits. :o That's 8 of the last 11 games, & we go for the sweep tomorrow! I could get used to this. Remember that what we wanted to see from this team was improvement from month to month and week to week. We've already seen it. I think they're gaining confidence each game.
June 4, 200620 yr The kid is a stud (3.15 ERA) Its arguably the best outing of the year by a starter. He had innings where he owned the Rockies and when he didnt he stayed composed and got out of jams. And the defense didnt let him down this time (the offense sure as hec didnt). June 4, 200620 yr couldn't see the game but I followed it on gameday ... great to see Nolasco pitching well and the bats banging it out forget the coors field curse ... marlins kept them at zero and good to see the bench coming alive on a rare start ... well just Amenzaga but Helms off the bench with that blast was great
June 4, 200620 yr we've won 3 of our last 4 series. RiNo... man, he got into some tough jams tonight, but he (along with HanRam and Uggla) made the plays to keep the Rockies scoreless. And he had 7 K's to boot. Somewhere Cub fans are :banghead . Eventhough there have been rough spots this season, it's a lot cooler watching these young guys play their hearts out each night, instead of watching the biggest underachieving line-up you'll ever see last year.
June 4, 200620 yr Author I already heap too much praise on the guy. :lol I think he just looks fantastic. I keep repeating myself, but he really has great presence out there. Has a plan, doesn't walk people, spots his fastball, good command & yet can light up the radar gun too. Ricky's got a bright future. (Future? Heck he's got a bright present!) Thanks Cubs!

June 4, 200620 yr Just moved to Orlando a week ago for my summer internship so I've been able to FINALLY see these games on television. It sure has been nice to be a Marlins fan. In fact, ever since Jeremy Hermida came back during the Cubs series we've been incredible. My only complaint is those f***ing Maroone commercials. I don't see how y'all can stand that remake of the Ghostbusters theme.
June 4, 200620 yr Winning feels good again. Ricky and JJ have helped to settle down the ball club. Borchard has been a nice spark to the offense. With Hanley, Uggs, and Cabs in the top 10 in BA in the NL ending the season at or close to .500 is not that far off base. I loved seeing Tank in the 9th. He looked good. The young arms look very promising. Im excited.
