they're both morons, do some f'in research before making a column

Hermida will not hit 2nd either...He will take JoBo spot in the lineup. Now we need ADA back pronto as well. Sorry to all Treanor bashers but he will be around for awhile

:lol

somebody has a hardon

Treanor is the best "pitcher's catcher" the organization has. He handles a game the best IMO, but just doesn't have the other tools needed to be a productive big leaguer. He'll end up coaching before long.

That might be giving them too much credit.

since the organization went back and traded for baker this year i gotta beleive he has some talent and that might be showing with his numbers so far...... anyway treanor is great behind the plate but man when u have him hitting b4 the pitcher its like having two pitchers batting in one game...yea hes had a couple of big hits but i think baker should be given chance even though id hate to see matt go down

Hermida needs to hurry up, get back to 90% or above, get his swing back and come up to the big show. Joe Borchard is killing me with that .209 average and his 348004 strikeouts.

newest registered user is "Joe Frisario"

hm!

This is my Friday lineup:

Hermida

Hanley

Miguel

Hammer

Jacobs (Boone if Jacobs is a no go)

Uggla

Olivo

Fredo

Olsen

First off there is no way Jeremy will be called up by Friday (tommorrow)....jeremy will get a few more games at A ball before moving to either carolina or albuquerque according to Fredi (who was on the radio this morning with Joe Rose)

I think the plan was to send Hermida to AAA and have him earn his way back to the majors but the Ross injury combined with the Borchard free fall will quicken the decision to bring him up ASAP.

==============================

http://www.miamiherald.com/591/story/103011.html

While manager Fredi Gonzalez said he doesn't believe the Marlins have lost any games because of Jeremy Hermida's absence, he is prepared to make Hermida his permanent right fielder the moment he is activated from the disabled list.

That moment could be as early as this weekend.

''It could be this weekend, it could be the middle of next week,'' Gonzalez said. ``There really is no timetable.''

But the Marlins were encouraged by Hermida's first rehabilitation game Wednesday night. Hermida went 3 for 5, with two solo home runs and a bases-loaded triple for Single A Jupiter.

Hermida, who has been on the disabled list because of a bruised knee, was to have made another start Thursday for Jupiter.

''He's the mainstay in the lineup when he's healthy and he's here,'' Gonzalez said. ``When he comes up, he's our right fielder.''

Joe Borchard has received most of the playing time in right but has struggled at the plate.

He is hitting .209 and has struck out 42 times, the second-highest total in the majors behind Cincinnati's Adam Dunn, who has 45.

Hermida needs to hurry up, get back to 90% or above, get his swing back and come up to the big show. Joe Borchard is killing me with that .209 average and his 348004 strikeouts.

348005-he struck out this morning also

Don't know if this was posted already but here is how Jeremy did in Thursday's Hammerheads game

1st inning - Walk, scored on a Gaby Sanchez homer

3rd inning - Struck out

6th inning - Single to right, to second on a Gaby Sanchez single, to third on a Brad McCann flyout to right, scored on Andrew Jenkins double

7th inning - popped out to third

Good to see is getting on base and is running well. I hope to see him in Washington!

Another one for the not sure if this was posted yet column:

MiLB's website shows Hermida going 3 for 5 on Wednesday with 2 HR and a triple. If that's the Hermida that shows up, welcome back.

Yeah, the homers were only solo shots but the triple cleared the bases so in those two games he is...

8ab - 4h - 5rbi - 4r - 2hr - 1triple

Again, hopefully we can see him Sat or Sun, definitely in Pittsburgh

Hermida will not hit 2nd either...He will take JoBo spot in the lineup.

Is this your own thought of whats to happen or did Fredi really say he is replacing Jobo's spot? Cause I can't stand uggz in the number 2 hole anymore.

Okay, Jeremy is not playing tonight for Jupiter. Anyone have any info? Knee or just a day off?

Hermida to Albuquerque: After three games against Class A pitching, Jeremy Hermida was sent to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday to resume his rehab schedule against more experienced pitchers.

Hermida played right field and went hitless in four at-bats playing for Jupiter on Friday night.

"We're getting him in there with more mature pitching," Gonzalez said.

Recovering from a bone bruise to his right kneecap, Hermida will continue to work on getting back into playing shape with the Isotopes.

There remains no timetable for his return to the Marlins, but it is questionable whether he would be activated while the club is in Pittsburgh from Monday to Thursday.

Next Friday, Florida faces the Devil Rays at Tropicana Field. It would be questionable if the Marlins would want to start off testing Hermida's legs on artificial turf.

Florida returns home on May 22 against the Phillies.

on the turf note, he could always DH

It seems like whenever Jeremy starts he is batting 2nd... does the minor league manager pick where he wants to bat Jeremy or do the Marlins tell them where he should bat?

They are probably told to put him somewhere so he bats in the first inning

Do you think Jeremy will be able to come off the DL for the Tampa series? He could probably DH. I know the artifical turf is going to be killer on his legs so I wouldnt want him to start.

he will be able to, and i see it as an outside chance that he does play in Tampa. if he does end up playing, it will most likely be as a DH. if not look for him in the next homestand.
