August 7, 200718 yr  MVP1 Uggla MVP2 Olivo Ross CF Hermida RF Wood 1B Linden LF The Big Hurk Rollins Iguchi Burrell Howard Rowand Werth Ruiz Nunez Moyer FWIW Olivo is 6-10 with a double, 2 triples against Moyer lifetime.
August 7, 200718 yr I think I'm going to exhaust the maximum bet at bodog against us now. Jesus Christ, it's like we're intentionally throwing them.
August 7, 200718 yr Yeesh! Fredi doing some managing. Not sure if this road trip is the time to fiddle when we need to come up big.
August 7, 200718 yr You know I'd be perfectly fine with it if Olivo wasn't batting cleanup. I'm baffled by that, I don't care what his history against Moyer is.
August 7, 200718 yr fire fredi now. enough. complete silliness. even if he goes 4-4 w/ 4 HRs unbelievably stupid. miguel f***in olivo batting 4th. nothing like a .630 OPS in the 4-hole
August 7, 200718 yr I really have no problem with this. Moyer has compltely DOMINATED us since coming to Philly last year. I don't like the fact that Willingham and Jake are on the bench but, oh well. And it's not just Moyer, Olivo has a good history against soft tossers. Add in the fact that he crushes lefties, and boom.
August 7, 200718 yr :o Hammer is probably still hurting from that kidney stone so I can understand that but Olivo hitting clean up? Seriously dude
August 7, 200718 yr Yeah, just reported that Hammer had another episode of Kidney Stones. God I feel bad for him.
August 7, 200718 yr What Olivo did in the past is no reflection on what he is doing now-poor pitch selection, can't make contact, even missed two bunt attempts Saturday night on straight fastballs and then struck out on a pitch in the dirt. Yuk, I agree, even if he hits tonite it is just a blind squirrel finding a nut. Basically after the first 3 batters, it looks like a spring training lineup, and you know what I think about Wood.
August 7, 200718 yr Cabs has some nice protection behind him tonight. :| Seriously, if you're Philadelphia, do you even pitch to Miggy?
August 7, 200718 yr Cabs has some nice protection behind him tonight. :| Seriously, if you're Philadelphia, do you even pitch to Miggy? Not a chance, poor Cabs-should just stretch his legs tonite. At least he won't have to be concerned about his elbow.
August 7, 200718 yr that lineup is pathetic. Hammer and Jake out of the lineup? The lineup suxs after cabrera...wow.
August 7, 200718 yr What's the big deal. You remove Jacobs, who's 0-fer-a long time. If you just switched Olivo with Hermida a lot of people would be thrilled to see how that worked out. Olivo stinks, but Hermida is not exactly a run producing machine.
August 7, 200718 yr Man, you guys are tough. Career vs Moyer (10 AB). Borchard 3/15 Olivo 6/10 Cabrera 3/13 Hanley 4/15 Cody 1/11 Uggla 2/16 Willingham 1/15 Maybe cleanup is a bit drastic, but I have no problems with him higher in the order. Moyer owns us. Got to try something.
August 7, 200718 yr Borcahrd and Willy are not playing. Jeez, I hope Willy passes those kidney stones. OUCH!!! What's Herms record against Moyer?
August 8, 200718 yr I got no issues with Olivo in the cleanup spot tonight he owns Moyer and he owns lefties... worth a shot
August 8, 200718 yr Olivo's 1st at-bat: After Moyer had given up a leadoff homer and 2 straight walks, he chases a pitch & grounds into what should've been a DP. No patience whatsoever.
