Why would the marlins even consider changing their colors or uniform? We have been very successful, its not like were the rays and had ugly everything. We have to have one of the best unis/colors in baseball! I understand changing the F, but what is loria thinking? Teal is part of our history!

Was there some kind of announcement or are you just assuming they're changing the colors when they become the Miami Marlins?

 

Regardless, there is hardly any teal left in our uniforms anyway, they've already killed it.

 

If all we're going to wear is black and grey anyway, they may as well change it. I hate this trend, 70% of the teams look exactly the same. Black and grey boring crap.

I would personally like to see them make the color blue.

 

Not royal blue or navy blue, more of an aqua blue.

We need to get rid of black. We play in Florida, black doesn't make any sense. I would love to see the teal back or some other bright color, anything but black

I like our uniforms now, the teal is used fine as a trim. I hated the teal hats, they looked like a corporate softball team. I'm sad we are gonna change the F logo, I always liked how spikey it looked. I don't like the sleeveless look either, though it would make sense in this heat.

Teal jerseys would be awesome.

I agree that the teal needs to be incorporated back into the uni. I love the see the black uni's go away as well. What's wrong with just using the grey and white uni's?

No it wasn't because the all-black cap was part of the original uniform scheme. In 1993, the "plan" was for the all-teal cap to be worn at home, the teal with black bill was the road cap, and the all-black cap was the "Sunday cap". By 1995, they just dumped the teal caps (which was all right with me).

Look at it this way-

 

The only reason we have 4 jerseys is because it can sell.

 

We have the yankee-esque F on the chest, the black, the road, and the home.

 

Personally- Teal Bills and a bit more teal on the jerseys would go a long way- like how the mets use blue on their own black jerseys.
