May 23, 200818 yr Yeah for Andino finally getting consitantly playing time Boo for Carroll not getting the same. Can't we just call up, like, John Gall or something by this point? I mean, Carroll never plays, it's just a filler spot when we have no one else to PH. And atleast putting Carroll back down in AAA will give him consistant ABs
May 23, 200818 yr I'm not surprised. Amezaga will now be used probably just as an infield sub, so they already had two infield subs in Andino and Helms.

They both had two starts (Carrol went 1-7, 3K. Andino went 1-7, 4K, 1BB). If anything, neither of the have gotten chances, but Carroll did worse in the ones he has gotten. Brett hasn't showed anything in the big leagues, not this year, not in his 49 games and 12 starts last year. I guess Fredi decided he could have Amezaga back up in the infield over Andino and have Brett and his awesome glove and the arm of a golden god for a defensive replacement.

Such is life. :thumbdown He's only had 103ABs over the last 4 seasons. 64 of them were at ages 21 and 22. I'm not ready to give up on that kid yet, as far as a bench player goes.

May 23, 200818 yr Is he gonna lead-off or what? I'm not too sure with Hanley struggling and all. Well if Fredi decided to keep Hanley at lead-off again now, then I'd say Jones will bat 7th or 8th, but if he goes back to the 3rd spot then probably Jones will lead off. I'm not really sure though.

He's done switch hitter-lefty combos, but that's still not the same as lefty-lefty), if hanley is still leading off, JJ is probably hitting 8th Hanley Hermida Cantu Jake Uggla Gonzo Treanor JJ would be r-l-r-l-r-l-r-l If JJ leads off, then there's the question if Hermida still hits #2, since again that would be back to back lefties. But if Hermida isn't hitting two then who the hell is? Well i'd like Hanley hitting 2 but I really doubt fredi would do it. JJ, Hanley, Hermida, Uggla, Jake, Cantu, Gonzo, Treanor still gives the l-r-l-r-l-r-l-r and would be better then the above. But hopefully Fredi will just given in and hit a lefty back to back.

But I did check and here it is: 6/30/2007 - Jake 4, Jeremy 5. 4/11/2008 - Hermida 3, Jake 4. (Hammer had an off-day, Jake moved up from 5 to 4.) 4/25/2008 - Jake 5, Gonzo 6. (Hammer had an off-day, Cantu took his 4 spot.)
May 23, 200818 yr will alfredo still get an occasional start in CF??? he has 8 hits in his last 4 games so at least he was improving on a rough patch a few weeks ago
May 23, 200818 yr Put Hanley in the 3 hole. He is going to end up there inevitabley anyway, hes not going to forget how to hit there. It makes our lineup better IMO atleast until Willinghams back. . It keeps Hermida in the 2 and Cantu out of the 3.
