July 2, 200818 yr Well i havent heard who would be coming up but i think it might be tank......did anyone hear anything??
July 2, 200818 yr Its gonna be the tank. Hopefully he and the rest of the bullpen turn it around and enjoy success in July. here is the link. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/articl...sp&c_id=fla
July 2, 200818 yr This is rotoworld's take: Marlins optioned RHP Eulogio De La Cruz to Triple-A Albuquerque. De La Cruz allowed five earned runs in his first relief appearance last Wednesday, and the Marlins were afraid to use him after that. His only other appearance came last night, when he allowed two runs -- one earned -- in 1 1/3 innings. The team picked a truly awful way to handle one of its best young arms. Taylor Tankersley could take his place in the pen.
July 3, 200818 yr I thought it was tragic what Fredi and Wiley did to DLC. I said so then and I believe it will be a mistake not easily forgotten or forgiven.
July 3, 200818 yr What are you refering to? putting the best starter in Albuquerque into the pen I would think that would be an FO decision. the fact he had been on such a small pitch count limit I think shows they've been grooming him for the pen. but then again I don't really know haha.
July 3, 200818 yr What are you refering to? putting the best starter in Albuquerque into the pen he throws heat, not many SP's can throw 100 for a reason.
July 3, 200818 yr To be honest, whenever I watched De La Cruz pitch I was always distracted by the hugeness of his ass.

July 3, 200818 yr To be honest, whenever I watched De La Cruz pitch I was always distracted by the hugeness of his ass. I am sure it is huge on purpose... the same way you are distracted by its hugeness the hitter at the plate is as well... O wait, DLC still got rocked in the majors. But seriously, lets hope the FO can find a couple hidden gems to fill the voids before the trade dead-line. Go Fish
July 3, 200818 yr He never got a real shot. "Hey kid, you know how you haven't had a relief appearance anywhere in a year?? Well, the best team in baseball is really smacking the ball around out there, go get 'em!"
July 3, 200818 yr Amen... I remember when Logan Kensing got called up in 2004 and got ROCKED!!! I swore I never wanted to see him again and I cringed everytime I heard his name on my TV...now look how reliable he's become! De La Cruz will be fine...in 2010... :thumbup

He's hit 100 before and reports had him as a lindstrom-like fastball. the question become is the reports wrong, or is it that he can hit it, but only if he's workin 1 inn (and in the cases where he's been in the bigleagues, he was suppose to go more than one inn so he dropped it to 93-95
