July 28, 200818 yr Give me Dallas at 1st. Benji at C. Give them Jacobs and one of our Minor League pitchers. Tank, De La Cruz, heck, give them Vandenhurk.
July 28, 200818 yr Benji doesnt have a ridiculous contract, also he has nearly the same stats as Pudge. And he still has a good arm and is a field general. Which is what we need.
July 28, 200818 yr Jacobs and tucker for Molina? :lol I would rather have Treanor with a broken leg if we had to give up Jake for him... I was just going to say that. Some people have no idea about this game... You don't send a team that has ZERO offense that could use Jacobs regardless of our need for a catcher, for just Molina. Nonetheless Jacobs AND a top prospect in Ryan Tucker. I might consider sending Tucker or VandenHurk and another for Molina. That's ABOUT it.
July 28, 200818 yr "The Yankees have also been linked to Molina. The price is said to be a young power hitter." Say bye to Jacobs. Ill miss him.

We've been over this before - Jacobs is easily replaceable from within our organization. We're not losing anything if he goes.
July 28, 200818 yr None of these trades make sense for us. The people we are renting aren't worth giving up bonified starters. Yes, Jake is having a below average year but he may be worth trading for Molina straight up. He's old. Fuentes would be nice to get but there is no way we are giving up Anibal!
July 28, 200818 yr lol i want bengie here now! and do the ginats have any1 else we might need? i like that fred lewis kid...

July 28, 200818 yr Slow. Not really THAT good. No thanks. Having a hitting catcher who can play the position as well... would simply complete our lineup, and have the only one hole spot at 1st... if Molina was added to our attire... we would be unstoppable at bat. I don't see 1st as a ridiculously glaring hole. Catcher obviously needs an upgrade, but I wouldn't overpay for any of the backstops currently available. I would look at Jacobs for Molina an even deal. The Giants also demanding a pitching prospect should kill the deal immediately. 1st is still a hole though... its a free out every time Jacobs comes up. Sure he gets the HR's, but thats about all of his average Id be more willing to try McPherson at 1st and actually have a catcher, just dont deal away any of our starting pitching and Ill be fine. Jacobs Tucker De La Cruz and Rabelo would be my offer.

Hell no maybe Jake and De La Cruz Ok I agree adding Tucker in there was a bit much... but De La Cruz and Rabelo are useless pieces... our catching depth with Molina becomes fine anyways... so its ok to trade a catcher... having Molina Treanor Baker and then Skipworth in time is good depth in my eyes... Jake is easy to deal because we have McPherson and Cantu can play opposite side... De La Cruz blows... he is just a minor league filler... if their asking price is high, as in they want a pitcher... Id be willing to give them Tucker... but its a heafty price. I just look at it because we have a lot of other pitchers to fall back on in Johnson Volstad Sanchez Mitre etc. etc. etc. for the future. I think when it comes down to a player like Molina, its not whats fair, its what you can afford. This year I really think the Marlins stand a chance... and you have to jump on that chance and make a run for it if you ever want to go anywhere... if it doesnt hurt our current team give them whatever they want (within reason)

July 28, 200818 yr Give me Benji. Im not sure how I would react to a Yorvit Torreallba trade. Considering the Giants are looking for a young slugger. Give them Jake, give us Benji. Hes the bets of the 3 brothers. It also helps that the Yanks are pursuing him. I'd love to snatch him from the FO of the yankees.

He throws 100 mph and has been very good in the minors. He's only 24. It's fine if you want to trade him. But please don't call him useless. He at the very least will have a nice future in our bullpen.

July 28, 200818 yr :notworthy I've been calling for us to get Bengie Molina for about 2 months now. If we can work out a trade.. wow. Our offense would be even more amazing.
July 28, 200818 yr The Giants are pretty desperate for a slugger. We can provide them with the ideal trade. :bangdesk :bangdesk We better get it done. Or i will get a headache. our team can make a serious push if loria opens up his wallet.
July 28, 200818 yr Bengie Molina would be a solid pickup. However, how far will you guys go in trying to aquire him? Would you give up a Jacobs/Tucker? Cause i know i wont
