4/21 Post Game

Maybin's first homer was nice.

Hanley hit's 1-2 with RISP.

Ani had a very nice game.

Seriously guys, remember that the 1997 WS Champs went 2-8 after going 8-1. This is usually how it works.

the pirates have been shutting down our offense the last 2 games. not that it would have mattered the 1st game thanks to miller and kensing.

when is cantu going to return to the lineup?

My thoughts:

-Anibal pitched well after the homer :thumbup

-Someone is angry at Uggla and punishing him

-Our offense is lost.

-Atleast our bullpen is rested.

-Please do not get swept. K? Thanks.

Anibal looked great after working out the kinks in the first three innings. Kept us in the game and pitched well enough for a win, but our offense likes to cuddle up in the cold weather and nap, I guess? Nolasco tomorrow needs to impress to keep me from worrying about him, not a good first two starts this season.

I knew I had a bad feeling going into this series....

They mentioned during the broadcast that we are 9-18 (adding today's loss) at PNC. I really don't get why the Pirates hurt us so bad...

Pirates have a good pitching staff, good defense, and are playing at home...

Marlins will turn things around soon enouhg. They just need some warm weather and home cooking :)

hanley destroyed a ball that wouldve been out even at home and uggla continues to get robbed.....anibal pitched well and the garbage against pitt continues. now we have to face a guy with a .57 era tomorrow.

Well at least ani looked good.

Now if the O good really get going wed be set.

Also lets hope that bomb maybin hit gets him going.

when is cantu going to return to the lineup?

Probably when we come back home. They mentioned that the cold was affecting his hand during BP and it's going to be cold tomorrow.

On the plus side: Maybin hit a HR, Hanley had an RBI, Sanchez pitched 7.

On the negative side: Once again, playing from behind immediately. Either we need to have more productive first innings, or our SP need to settle down quicker.

Well, tomorrow's another day. We shall see if Ricky can turn it around. I really don't want to go into the Philadelphia series stone cold and on a losing streak.

We got a quality start tonight of 7 innings. Much needed.

Hopefully we can get the W tomorrow.

We're 6-2 on the road trip...the sky is falling! :whistle

I don't know, but when does, I don't think that should mean Gload goes to the bench 6-7 days a week. This guy has been similar to John Baker in approach IMO, going the other way, hitting line drives, taking a lot of pitches. I'm ready to see him at 1B and Cantu at 3B a few days a week.

Nice game by Anibal. Way to eat innings and keep us in it.

Nolarsco was not good, and Maholm was impressive.

so, It means a Our First Swept series in 2009?

You're nuts.

Um, nobody's been too negative on the thread before your post.....

Damn, so those ugly Pirates are gonna sweep us... :confused

I hope you're right.

Did you look into the future or something already?

Regardless, we have our work cut out for us tomorrow.

Maybe the Marlins will "play up" to Malholm.

JJ had an ERA like that and gave up 6 runs in 2 innings.

NEVER GIVE UP!
