Sounds Julio-esque. Small sample size and all, Lindstrom hasn't impressed me, but I am not going to storm his castle with a pitchfork quite yet. We have some great pitchers waiting in the wings. I just hope Fredi keeps that in mind and doesn't stick with Lindstrom if he continues to struggle. It is early, but wins in April and May still count in August and September.

While matt was wild baker coulda called for somthing other than the fastball cause matt obviously couldnt control it. He did get that slider over a few times.

April 25, 200917 yr i have no problem with matt being the guy (he was awesome end of last year) but the dude has been INJURED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he should be FULLY recovered until he is allowed to close games. He has looked horrible all season thus far. Let him show that he is full recovered before you put him in, otherwise you hurt the team as seen by tonight, and almost during the other save he blew (which the fish came back to win).

Love the optimism but moyer owns our ass. However he hasnt done well so far this year.Ahh this loss sucks, its gonna be so hard to take the series now. I hate the whole "Oh he's our guy, we got to stick by him" mentality... This is baseball you are trying to win games, Lindstrom has not been sharp all year. So what do we do? Wait till he figures out and blows a couple more in the process? Please. Why not go with the hot arm, Nunez has been lights out lately, let him close, if Lindstrom gets better and Nunez falters then give the job back to Lindstrom, but for god sakes don't f***ing give away games because you don't want to hurt the guy's feelings or w/e reason he has.

He gets hit b/c he's flat, and his control isn't great. This isn't some sort of surprise. People need to realize that Lindstrom has never been that good. 5 September saves when the season meant nothing for his team don't mean much. 5 = small sample. And before someone says "well, omgz double standard he has 5 save opps." this year...look at some other stats. He's nothing more than average. Also...there should be a poll. Option #2 should be Hanley Ramirez. If you want to get picky like some...option #3 would be John Baker for calling all fastballs in the 9th inning, again. Although, those people seem to ignore that Lindstrom is a grown man at the age of 29, who can shake off his catcher (hopefully). Safe to say that Leo Nunez...even Kiko have earned a CHANCE to close.

Well tonight you had more than one choice. It could have been Hanley for the adventure he had running the bases. Lindstrom for.. well you know what or Fredi for either A) not keeping in Leo to finish it out after a great inning or B) not taking Lindy out ending up in the grandslam by Victorino.
April 25, 200917 yr I hate games like this you play great from 1-8 until the 9th...shows you how no game is over until the final 3 outs.....i was on my way back from aorlando...ugh sounds like a horrible loss, If this was in october i would be pissed but since it not i am ok lol....have 2 win next 2 for sure....

God Bless i thought i was the only one who saw this aswell. For every batter except for Bruntlett who he ended up striking out and Rollins he threw first pitch fastballs and 0-2 or 2 strike fastball which ended up being hit hard. Baker needs to mix it up becasue at times that slider can be deceptive and change the eye level of a hitter. I thought he should have thrown the slider against the young catcher to get him to either chase or slap something on the ground enducing the game ending double play, but those are something the coaches also have to realize and it isn't the 1st time it has happend this season.
