May 11, 200917 yr If Bonifacio(ut) is going to leadoff all year...they might as well consider it. Not as if there are gonna be people for Hanley to drive in with an automatic out, at the top of the lineup.

Probably a better option considering how much Hanley has been slugging compared to Jerm-Herm. You want that SLG in the middle of the order to drive in RBI. That is probably the best argument against Hanley at the top - his HR potential.

I got banned for a day saying that Bonferfaceio would come back down to earth. He's a mediocre AAAA player who got hot, you guys should have known that from seeing the Nats games last year. I think the lineup should be... Put Coghlan at the toughest outfield position in Dolphins Stadium when he has only 1 major league experience in the outfield? Unlikely, better to move Coghlan to 3rd base where he has played before, keep Cantu at 1st where he is better defensively, keep Hermida in LF where he is better defensively, and stick a player like Amezaga in CF and do a platoon out there until Maybin can get things right.

He's going to OBP but his SLG is going to struggle, and he's the second fastest guy in the lineup behind EB (should steal 20ish bags). And mostly because, while I was against it originally, we really need a #5 hitter, and while Baker isn't ideal (more of a OBP guy than a SLG guy), he's been our third best hitter behind Hanley and Cantu. well, I'd actually say Baker would be better as #3, hanley #4, and Cantu #5, so Baker gets on ahead of those two guys, but then that takes away PA from our two best hitters. Such a line to walk. But we just plain don't have anything in the middle of the order in that lineup with cody and uggla struggling. I'd do Coghlan Hermida Hanley Cantu Baker (Paulino, .900+ career OPS against LHP and better contact guy than uggla/cody) Uggla Cody Pitcher EB

I would swap Paulino for Uggla against Lefties though, seeing as Uggla's splits are worse vs LHP and Paulino destroys them. I can't wait until Gaby is healthy and past the key arbitration date in June. It'll be much better when he can start opposite Cantu, or at least split some time with Gload (and maybe EB) to maximize matchups. May 11, 200917 yr Eh, I actually like Nny's idea quite a bit. And it would allow Fredi to keep the starting catcher in the 5th spot everyday, since that seems to be something he's obsessed with.

Bonifraudio? lulz, I loved the speed btw never called him an all star I expected that with MLB coaching and the fact that he only seemed to struggle with one certain pitch, I suspected he would work with the coaches and correct it. He's had better swings as of late, but the K's aren't really going down, and he isn't drawing any walks. With his speed, he should be living and dying at the plate by his walk total, and right now he is dying by them.
