June 7, 200917 yr bonifacio is leading the marlins in one thing. most post about him on marlinsbaseball.com this year. :mis2 correction! He's leading the Marlins in most hate posts about him on Marlinsbaseball.com this year! heh :lol
June 7, 200917 yr Change will only come when Beinfest decides that he'll get more egg on his face by continuing to let him play than he would by just pulling the plug right now. Obviously he still feels, despite all evidence to the contrary, that he can come out somewhat good on this trade. Or maybe he is just hoping against hope. Or maybe it is just pride. The final answer is only Beinfest knows.

The final answer is only Beinfest knows. Beinfest is overrated... He is no Dave Dombrowski. NOW That is a real GM... Almost every trade he made resulted in good players coming back our way for players we didn't want or need while with Admin it seems every trade we get raped! Has he come out on top of ANY trades since he's been here? I mean seriously name a few good one's, and then name the bad one's, and compare. If you would judge him as a hitter Beinfest is hitting around the mendoza line.
June 7, 200917 yr Oh yeah even Miguel Cabrera is better at 3rd then this chump! Check out his stats for tonight! Hitting: 1-4 (2 SO) FIELDING: Bonifacio (10th fielding error). Again why is this guy in the majors? He does NOTHING at all to help us, and does of negative things which will only hurt us!!! Please it's time to end this cruel joke on the florida fan base Mr Beinfest. DFA Bonifacio... Let him go like you let Hayden Penn go.. Neither one of these clowns belong in the majors.

But can't judge him to much since he's in the minors, and not here stinking up the place like how Emilio is doing.

June 7, 200917 yr He started so well today then he poped out and k'd twice, then kicked the ball off his face. He's getting worse and worse
June 7, 200917 yr My main problems with Bonifacio is that he can't hit for average, can't hit for power, can't draw walks, can't can't field his position, or run the bases intelligently. I'd be OK with him as a bench player, but he can't bunt or really do any sort of situational hitting. More or less he sucks at baseball. But hey, he's fast!
June 7, 200917 yr I watched his first AB tonight, and it was great; a perfect bunt that moved Coghlan over and even got him a base hit. Great! Along comes his second at bat, same situation with Coghlan at first - just need to bunt him over as Miller was still taking the pi$$ out of the Giants at the time. Boni bunts the first pitch, another good bunt that just runs foul. But then he proceeds to swing and miss at every other pitch Sanchez gave him. Why? Who is telling him to do this? Is he really that dumb a hitter? Of course his next two at bats he just swings at every damn ball and misses or fouls off or pops up every damn ball. That's the frustrating thing. Then of course comes the daily third-base boot. I still think (and obviously Beinfest and Fredi think) he's got it in him to be a decent every-day player. It's just his concentration seems to flop out of the window the longer the game goes on and to be honest, in meeting the guy, he didn't seem the tastiest sandwich in the picnic basket, brain-power wise. The pain is, we can't carry two players who are learning to be every-day players, whilst trying to stay in contention (and out of Bonifacio and Coghlan I'd take Coghlan, if only for his plate discipline). Perhaps if we were where the Nats are. I still don't get the hate thing. Anyone who wears a Marlins jersey is a hero to me but they're my guys and I'll support them and stick up for them every step of the way. Maybe that's because I'm a Brit and I have to defend my entire sport from the football/soccer-only neanderthals over here. This whole thing is Gaby Sanchez's fault; if only he hadn't stunk in ST Bonifacio would still be in AAA.
June 7, 200917 yr April - .269 AVG May - .235 AVG June - .208 AVG Is it really that hard for the team to see which way he is headed?
June 7, 200917 yr I don't definitely don't hate the guy, my ire is for how he is deployed by Beinfest. Simply put, he lacks in many areas of the game and shouldn't start.

June 7, 200917 yr bonifacio is leading the marlins in one thing. most post about him on marlinsbaseball.com this year. And outs. He leads us in outs. 2nd in the majors as well! And 5th in CS, 9th in K! But he is 2nd in the majors in singles!

June 7, 200917 yr How about this... instead of blaming Bonifacio we can blame Gaby and Dallas for not winning the starting spot at third .

June 7, 200917 yr How about this... instead of blaming Bonifacio we can blame Gaby and Dallas for not winning the starting spot at third . Bonifacio was solid at the begining of the year. For one week.
June 7, 200917 yr People need to realize that Bonifacio has never been good wherever he's played, even in the minor leagues. He's shown nothing. That's why people ride him more than other players who struggle. Bonifacio isn't supposed to develop into anything more than a career minor leaguer or pinch runner off the bench. The others are supposed to become competent major league players.
June 7, 200917 yr Gonzalez felt obligated to the team. "My responsibility as a manager is to 25 guys, and the Florida Marlins, not just one guy," Gonzalez said. "We're trying to get the win for the club." Fredi obligated to the team? If this were the case and you are trying to win, then why is Bonaficio even in the lineup at all? There are more problems than having an inconsistent closer like guys striking out, not getting on base, and hitters sucking with runners in scoring position.
June 7, 200917 yr How about this... instead of blaming Bonifacio we can blame Gaby and Dallas for not winning the starting spot at third . No I blame the front office who made the move to get rid of Dallas, and make Bonifacio the 3b because of his spring... If Dallas was let go, and Gaby was demoted then why wasn't Hanley released he had a horrific spring! Also was wasn't Abraham Nunez the OF the everyday OF after the Spring he had years ago? I mean Spring is important right? Wait it's not Spring means NOTHING... It's incredibly stupid to take a punching judy like Bonifacio over two power hitting 3b just because he was decent in spring, and the other two guys struggled due to having a lot less AB's. Dallas hardly played, and so did Gaby, and yet Bonifacio got a ton of playing time... It's clear the FO wanted him to win the job since they got him because they had a hard on over his speed, and this is the simple truth. He was given the job he didn't earn a thing because he has NEVER produced at this level or any... He is not a major league hitter, and the Front Office dropped the ball BIG time with this one. We have the worst starting player in all of baseball on our team, and this guy is probably the worst leadoff hitter in team history! Probably the worst 3b in the entire majors, and minors! He doesn't belong in a level above AA.

There are more problems than having an inconsistent closer like guys striking out, not getting on base, and hitters sucking with runners in scoring position. Gonzalez is a terrible manager, and a terribe judge of major league skills! Heck this is probably because he himself was a failed prospect who never developed into nothing but a career minor leaguer which is probably why hes sticking with a player who sucks on the same level Fredi did in his playing days. Fredi SUX I really wish the owners would fire his ass, and released Bonifacio.. This would make me want to go see them play again but aslong as Bonifacio is being shoved down our throat I refuse to pay my money to go see them play. I usually go to 30 plus games a year this year I've only been to 3 games, and don't plan to go again until they release that ass clown at 3b, and god willing they fire Fredi's ass. I'll be happy with atleast bonifacio being DFA... That would bring me back but man am I wishing they canned Fredi also.
