April 14, 201015 yr A lot of people on this team have been getting heat since the season began, but Jose Veras is the one person who 100% deserves it. He never should have made the team to begin with.

April 14, 201015 yr That's what I'm thinking. There's no way the Marlins should dump Wood over Veras when Sanches is ready.
April 14, 201015 yr Not reactionary at all. Jose Veras can't throw strikes. And that's nothing new, he only has a 58% strike percentage with a pathetic 51% first pitch strikes in his career. Hitters also make tons of contact on him. He sucks.

April 14, 201015 yr I just have an awful feeling that when Sanches is ready to come back, Wood is going to be sent down and we'll have to put up with Veras for still longer.

April 14, 201015 yr Not saying that I disagree about him being cut, but we don't exactly have that many better options, and that includes Sanches.
April 14, 201015 yr Not saying that I disagree about him being cut, but we don't exactly have that many better options, and that includes Sanches. What? If i understood you right, you are soooooooooo wrong. Sanches is twice the pitcher that Veras is.
April 14, 201015 yr Strickland would be a better option that Veras. I imagine Leroux as well. Veras isn't THIS BAD but he is bad

But I do think Veras is the one sent packing when our Native American gets healthy.

I think this comment was in reference to Sanchez being one of the only Full blooded Native American players in MLB. Well maybe not full blooded but hey, who is?
April 14, 201015 yr I'm sure it's been brought up, but I've must have missed it. When is Sanches projected to be back fully healthy to throw on the regular?
April 14, 201015 yr I wouldn't say its reactionary, Veras hasn't shown anything worth keeping around. Sanches when healthy appears to be a more viable option, personally I'd like to see Strickland get a shot.

I started the thread in the middle of the game last night right after he gave up more runs, hence the word "reactionary". Still was kinda joking, though.
April 14, 201015 yr This guy belongs on the bottom of the Atlantic Dude, you need to stop this. Why should he? He is acknowledging the fact that Veras may get a spot in the bullpen of the Rapture baseball team, who open their season next week against Atlantis.
