mattio13
As i live in England and theres very little coverage i wondered if mlb tv would be worth the cash for next season. I know its a long time away but i wanted to get nfl game pass but the price for the is beyond pathetic. I love baseball and was just wondering is it worth the cash even just for a month or 2. LordMagnus
Most of the time. Sometimes there are problems with the game feeds.
Shaft
Postseason is pretty much all of October. If I lived in England I'd personally get it

Schnellders
I've subscribed for 4 of the past 5 years. This year I have the premium package which is great value at $120 considering the amount of games I watch. My viewing experience has been even better this year since the PS3 app was launched allowing games to be watched on my tv rather than laptop
Admin
If you are going to watch more than 1-2 games a week, it's worth it. Just be careful when you cancel at the end of the season. After the playoffs they will continue to bill you on the offseason (unless you cancel) because they claim that you are paying for access to their archived games. As soon as the World Series ends, call them or send them an e-mail, telling them that you are ending your subscription and do not want to be billed. If you pay for the full season upfront one year, they tend to automatically re-subscribe you the following year unless you cancel. It's a huge pain in the ass, but be aware of it and monitor your statements and you should be fine.
canada-marlin24
i live in south florida but go to school in montreal so i get the fox saturday games, jays games, sunday night baseball games, and some west coast games and even with that i cannot live without it. its good for every marlins game and is never blacked out unless its at the same time as the fox national game. you even get the non televised games through mlb.com as they give you a feed and stream marlins radio so that way you have announcers as well. just have a solid internet connection and the way they have improved it over the last 3 years is amazing. Iowa
I absolutely love MLB.tv... have been a subscriber for 6 years I believe.
Sirspud
Considering I'm paying for a cable package that's around 60 a month for primarily Marlins games, though I certainly enjoy other channels every now and then, its not that bad of a deal. I'm not even in the Dolphins local broadcast area so I get cheated out of half their games unless I go to a sports bar, which I do pretty much every Sunday even when the games are on. Iowa
The area I live in blacks out all of the Cubs, Cards, White Sox, Brewers, Royals and Twins games... but there is a relatively simple way to get around the blackouts using a proxy.

Henry Jones
This is my first year with it and the PS 3 thing sealed the deal. Watching the game right now on my....... uh, reasonably-sized screen. My Internet connection's not the best, but it does the job and I'm enjoying it. Very few problems over here.

Henry Jones
The only question is whether the MLB.Tv app is available in European PS 3s. What apps are available vary from region to region. It's worth checking into if you don't have a PS 3 yet.

I "acquired" it as I have a US account set up also so I downloaded it from the US Store.

Without a doubt. You get not only home & away TV telecasts but also the home & away radio broadcasts to choose from. And its all 2,400 games of the season ! Best buy on the net, and I have had it for 4 years now and the video quality is better each year.

pach233
Even without the PS3 app, a simple S-video to VGA connectio allows me to watch the games on my TV. If you have a good internet connection then you can watch it in HD quality on your bigscreen. For me its absolutely worth it and I live in Marlins territory so I can't even watch the fish through it, I just watch everybody else. Iowa
Pach, its really easy to bypass blackouts. I'm sure you can find out how to do it on google somewhere.

And I'm in the same boat as you, I use it to watch everyone else.
Iowa
when there is a blackout go to: tools>internet options>connections>lan settings click the box that says "use a proxy server for your LAN" Go to a website that lists proxies.. find a proxy that you are able to use (for example, maybe one in south korea) > paste the proxy (should be something like 123.123.12.123) AND port (should be 8080 or 3124, etc) in to said boxes. Might take a few tries to find one that works but is relatively simple.. ive used one from turkey, chile, etc. That should disable all blackout restrictions.. after you start the game, you can uncheck the box so it runs smoother.
