Admin
The team has decided to shut him down.
dim
No surprise, and the smart move. Let's use the next 2 or so weeks to see what we've got from the rest of our starters heading into next season.

MrMarlinPride
Good move, let him and Ricky rest up and work hard in the offseason so they can come back strong next year. It might be a little late but I wouldn't mind shutting down Anibal if he starts feeling any sort of discomfort.
HitDaCycle
Sad but necessary. No reason for JJ to pitch and get any further injuries. This has been a bad year for many Marlins players and I hope that they are back to 100% by next year and we don't have to worry about so many injuries next year. Of course injuries do happen, I just hope that it won't be this bad next year. So in any case, good job this year JJ and hope for an even better season next year! Schnellders
Our rotation is now awesome: Sanchez, Sanabia, Volstad, Mendez, Miller  Good move to shut down JJ. Hopefully next year we can give him more run support to pick up more W's.
Erick
Our rotation is now awesome: Sanchez, Sanabia, Volstad, Mendez, Miller  Good move to shut down JJ. Hopefully next year we can give him more run support to pick up more W's. It's a shame that Andrew Miller is so bad that I have more confidence in Aldaberto Mendez. BafflingBeerman
As much as I respect JJ for trying to tough it out, I am not too happy that apparently this was affecting him for at least the last 5 or 6 starts. I wonder if he could have gone deeper in those games and away from the bullpen if he was 100%.
FutureGM
No surprise, and the smart move. Exactly. Considering we just made a huge commitment to him this year, we need to be careful in these situations.
Hotcorner
Good, no sense in risking anything. Cy Young was probably out of the question with his won-loss record anyway.
MarlinKidd101
Finally! He's been on the "can't cut" list in fantasy and I've been wanting to drop him since last week.
fanofthefish
Come on Jacksonville, win that freaking series so we can see somebody (Villaneuva, Koehler, hell at this point Allison) promoted from there.
Fishes on the Pond
I'm sorry I won't seem him pitching the rest of the year :thumbdown but I rather he be well next year :notworthy GREAT move
gizmo
Come back even stronger next year JJ and win yourself a Cy Young
fanofthefish
Any chance West will come back and pitch this season? I really don't want to see what Miller can do next time.
