April 21, 201115 yr What would you guys think of picking him up for a change of scenery type of guy at 3b for the time being? I personally dont think he will be anything nor have i ever but i was just wondering what you guys would think of him.

Good enough for me Precluding that statement they said Beinfest made the comment they would look at trades/signings if it was an upgrade. To me Wood is somebody you would bring in on a minor league contract heading into ST, not during the season just because the guy you really want at that position is on the DL. We have 3B covered.

April 21, 201115 yr I don't think that Wood is an upgrade over anyone on the roster right now, so there really isn't any point in looking at him. If the Marlins bring in someone from the outside, the player needs to be an upgrade.

April 23, 201115 yr The pirates are like a dumpster. Seriously. I don't think there's any hope for them. I'd love to see that franchise contracted and move the Rays into PNC Park as the new Pirates, but that would never happen.
