July 16, 201114 yr Who are we talking about again? Jeremy Hermida? Interesting how they all do so well when they get out of the Marlins system. I can name zero who was absolutely as atrocious as Andrew Miller here that have gone on to be 'good'.
July 17, 201114 yr I remember when Andrew Miller had that good game that one time. *Queue drums* I was actually at that game :| July of 2008 vs the Diamondbacks at home.

July 17, 201114 yr Didn't Miller once shut down the Phillies at SunLife as well? Yup. I believe 7 Ks in 7 innings against the Phillies.

July 18, 201114 yr Interesting how all these guys start doing well when they get out of the Marlins system... Are you saying Dallas needs to leave? As much as I dislike the Rays and like the Sox, I wasn't at all surprised to see Miller get the crap kicked out of him against the Rays. I certainly hope the Red Sox aren't counting on Miller for a playoff run.
July 18, 201114 yr Interesting how all these guys start doing well when they get out of the Marlins system... Yeah, it's the Marlins' fault your friend sucks.
July 19, 201114 yr All I know is Dallas had never been hurt until he was in the Marlins system and hes been injured most of his time in this organization. Could be a coincidence. And yes I do think the Marlins minor league coaching is not as strong as other organizations. I have several people who I know well who are in baseball both players and Scouts. Fanofthefish, I will support Dallas wherever he pitches. He had a choice this last offseason and chose to stay in the Marlins system because he felt he owed it to them. I think the Marlins prefer strikeout pitchers which Dallas will never be. I think there are better fits as far as organizations. I was actually just commenting on how many guys have left the Marlins and excelled. Commenting on the bad luck the Marlins seem to have had. My original post had nothing to do with D

Dallas is lucky to still be with an organization right now. 2. Who has sucked here, left, and excelled? If anything, the Marlins have been lucky with some no-names in the past. It's the reason why the team hasn't had joke records despite low payrolls. You're just making stuff up. Are you talking about Andrew Miller with that comment? Despite what this thread would lead you to believe, he sucks with Boston too.

I'm not saying it to be an ass; I'm being realistic.
July 20, 201114 yr 4 walks in just 2 innings so far today....miraculously he hasn't allowed a run yet.
July 20, 201114 yr Miller pitched 5.2 innings, 2 H, 6 BB but no runs. They played Baltimore though so tthat explains that. He's 4-1 with a 4.7something ERA after today I think. Then again he is on the team that has Lackey at. 7-8 with a terrible 6.70 ERA.
September 9, 201114 yr Interesting how all these guys start doing well when they get out of the Marlins system... heh #bobbob
