November 9, 201114 yr The Yomiuri Giants that is.. Jeremy Hermida is expected to join the Yomiuri Giants of Japan's Central League. The Japanese media report was passed along by Patrick Newman of NPB Tracker. Hermida was claimed off waivers by the Padres at the end of August after spending most of the season at the Triple-A level in the Reds' organization. The 27-year-old outfielder has a .257/.334/.415 batting line and .749 OPS over parts of seven seasons in the big leagues and has failed to come anywhere close to the promise he showed back in 2007.

November 14, 201114 yr I've never seen a player with less "energy" on a regular basis than Hermida. He just seemed...bored. I'm surprised he hasn't quit baseball honestly because he never seemed to be into the games at all.
