I mean granted it's probably too little too late and I am not saying Quintero will be the piece that makes us a playoff team, but at least they are trying some things.

Even though Quintero is a career 33% CS%, is a 35% right now, was a 45% in 2010 (after an off year in 2011), and a 46% in 2009.

Quintero's best season is a .660 OPS over 157 at bats. Buck's career CS% is 25%. Quintero's is 33%. That's a negligible difference. It is the difference between one extra caught stealing every 19 games, based on John Buck's career rate. That's absolutely nothing, in the big picture. You seriously over estimate the actual value of CS%, since we're dealing with relatively small numbers over the course of a season. Humberto Quintero is absolutely awful. You're devolving into self-parody at this point.

I've seen a ton of Quintero, or at least it feels like I've seen a ton of him in the same way 5 minutes stuck in an elevator feels like an hour. He's basically Mike Rabelo with a stronger arm and a knowledge of the basic rules of baseball. He doesn't hit for power or average. He doesn't walk. His career OBP is like .040 lower than John Buck's is right now. So if you want Mike Rabelo with an extra 5 runners caught a year to be our starting catcher, feel free. I, on the other hand, think that sounds like sh*t.
