The Week: "Marlins do things wrong & Rays do things right"

Featured Replies

I've never heard of the Week, what is it? More like the Weak.

As well as the Rays have been run recently they still have no championships and no sustained fan base.

I don't have a problem with the article. It only states the obvious, with a little twinge of arrogance but that's ok.

And the marlins do? I know there are serious fans on this website, but really, it's all I see.

"Aces Josh Beckett and Derek Lee were soon gone..."

I closed my browser after reading that.

:lol

Kinda sad that, in 2011, our POS last place team that was doomed for last in the middle of June was just around 8,600 fans less in attendance over the entire season than the division winning Rays.

Say what you want, but at least our casual fans show up when we win.

Our last place team in a state of the art stadium and not a lifeless dome.

I said 2011.

The Marlins are nowhere as bad as the Rays when it comes to fans.

statistics say other wise

Again ...

YOU HAVE A WINNING TEAM RIGHT NOW AND PEOPLE STILL DON'T SHOW UP! That's saying a LOT. Houston out drew the Rays. HOUSTON! They lost over 100 games! What's wrong with that picture?

Hmm, let's see

Playoff contender, 30th in attendance.

Worst team in Baseball, somehow, drew almost 50,000 more fans.

"Statistics say other wise ..." pfft.

The Marlins are nowhere as bad as the Rays when it comes to fans.

Show me said statistics.

The Marlins are nowhere as bad as the Rays when it comes to fans.

I'd like to see how that pans out this coming year.

the article was arrogant but it's stating the truth, defend your franchise but dont try to defend how horribly stupidly and carelessly it is ran.

and Rays +1 fan

We get it, for the bazillionth time, you are now a Rays fan. Cool. Go post on the Rays Republic then?

Or, we'll see you when/if the Rays suddenly start losing again.

Just a pet peeve about the article, we didn't dismantle the 2003 championship team. We gave it a go for two more seasons before blowing things up. Its a minor point but one I insist on retelling. Huizenga is the asshat that coined the fire sale idea when he blew off the 97 team within weeks of the championship win.

The Marlins are nowhere as bad as the Rays when it comes to fans.

I would have said the exact same thing before ... jesus you are all a bunch of whiny kids

it's not a surprise that the marlins suck as an organization there bub

Really, we're the whiny kids and not you? You don't donate to the site, and your posts contribute less than nothing. GTFO. See ya.

Is there a way to It's going to be funny when the Rays trade James Shields and David Price.

Is there a way to get negative fans to show up to games? Maybe if the players don't show up?
