July 21, 201311 yr So I was wrong in the game thread. The franchise worst for scoreless innings was set last year at 30. 19 was the worst this year before the current 24.
July 21, 201311 yr I'm going to watch again tomorrow to see if I can keep my marlin shutout streak alive. Maybe 3-3
July 21, 201311 yr Made me laugh during the game when the announcers were shocked only 22% of people liked the throwbacks and made the comment "well, I guess the fans prefer the normal stuff all the time"...no, if they asked the same poll on the regular Marlins uniforms much less than 22% of people would say they liked them.

July 21, 201311 yr I talk about other things. Do you really think the majority of the fanbase likes the new unis? ehe, no.
July 21, 201311 yr Author Ehe they don't harp on about it for, what is it now, 20 fucking months? They were revealed in November of 2011.
July 21, 201311 yr And are just as bad now as they were then. Like I said earlier, they are so bad they deserve to be mentioned whenever possible. Either way, it was a crappy game. Eovaldi got rocked and the offense was asleep. Not much else to discuss.
July 21, 201311 yr I would like to see proof that less than 22% of fans would like the uniforms worn by the team that will have the worst record in the history of baseball.

Do you know what we'd have to do for that to happen? We're 35-60 right now. We'd have to go 5-60 from this point on to just TIE the record, and then there's two games remaining. I don't see us winning just five games from this point forward. And BTW, that's modern record, not Spiders bad.
July 21, 201311 yr Stanton is playing a really terrible RF this season. It's pretty surprising since he was solid in past years.
July 21, 201311 yr Author He's been taking it easier out there due to his leg injuries, I'm sure. His range factor is still above league average, at least. But yeah, his throwing errors haven't helped his cause much.
July 21, 201311 yr All while we have an excellent RFer playing CF and an excellent CFer playing Left.
July 21, 201311 yr All while we have an excellent RFer playing CF and an excellent CFer playing Left.  I know right? It's difficult to understand why he's even still on the roster.
July 21, 201311 yr Stanton is on the roster because no one will give the Marlins what they want in a trade. And because he is very cheap But, Ozuna should be in right - as he showed during Stanton's injury absence.
July 21, 201311 yr Ozuna might just be in right eventually. The fact that we have multiple prospects on the verge of being called up means some moves are bound to happen....whether that's trading Stanton or seeing a move change somewhere. Personally, I'd keep stanton and move him to first. Morrison can be a lefty bat if they keep him. Means our yoing OF is up. ..Stanton stays healthy...and Morrison doesn't have to be seen as much.
July 21, 201311 yr .....you would bench Logan Morrison? Yes. I am not a fan of LoMo, offensively or defensively. This would also be next year, so if Moran isn't ready, maybe Stanton plays third in the meantime. He isn't gonna be a gold Glover at any position so you get what you get defensively.

July 21, 201311 yr I saw that. Not entirely sure I'm sold on yelich in CF. Isnt his arm rather weak? That's also not taking into consideration Marisnick. He may not be called up this year...but will most likely be up next year. He would be CF in that case. Just as good (if not better) defensively, but with a stronger arm. He also said he could see Yelich moved to first, which I don't like because his speed and defense is top notch...it would be a waste.

I think speculating on what they will do at that point is useless because there are SO many different options and ways they could go...
